TRE vs Flies Out?
Still on a learning curve here, so bear with me.
While I like the idea of flies out "free" price, after reading posts from other sites about other bikes, I have a concern.
1) With the flies out, how is the hole in the fuel delivery compensated for in those lower gears?
2) Does our bike also have timing retarded in those lower gears also?
This is why I'm begining to think a TRE would be the better choice.
What I'd like to see is a TRE that would of course still let the instrument cluster's gear readout still function, and, offer an external toggle switch to select "on the fly" between stock & full open modes. I would ride 95% full open, but, when I go to Deal's Gap, or wet weather, it would be nice to have the softer power delivery in lower gears.

Forget tre, it does not compensate for a/f ratio and runs lean (really lean) down low. Yeah, if you are into only drag race it would not mean a whole lot, but for everyday driving 17:1 is not good at lower rpm's. best is with a pc3 with a map for flies out.

keep in mind unless you get rid of the kleen in the valve cover that extra air is going to give false readings. just keep in mind. my head was going wow this is messed up but reality kicked in and thee is no way it will run "ok" at 17 to 1 or 19 to 1. i may have jumped in here wrong but running real lean down low and seeing 17 to 1 just reminded my what my summer of tuneing my ecu with the rr mod showed me. i think my bike will run steady ok around 15.5 or lower. go 16 and it is not happy.(by the way i was not shooting for 15.5 or 16 to 1. i just ended up there and i am glad i did. you can not tune the afr with out blocking off the kleen at lower rpms. vacume keeps the valve open and lack of vacume allows it to close off.

Has anybody written a "how-to" for removal of this "KLEEN"?
(I'm assuming this a exhuast air injection system?)

Shove a cork in the inlet hose, that;s all you need to do. One that could not be sucked in for sure..
