tire pressure monitors
Did anyone ever buy the C-14 and the tire pressure monitors and if so what did you do about it.. I have had mine for 6 months now and I would like to know before i take it to the dealer...

The tire sensors are prone to failure, they have a battery in them that goes dead or something like that, there is a new updated part to replace the old one. The dealer had to do it with their scan tool to initialize it to the bike, hey it's free!

thanks I emailed the owner of the shop and I will be going back on the 2nd so they can take care of it...he has a C-14 also.

they are going to replace both for free this friyday when they come in and while i was there i bought that larger windshield.. and put it on myself and saved 40.00 bucks for a 15 min. job.

Another thing that gets me is they have a finite life and they are expensive to replace because the battery is built in. It may be worth while to tear one apart after the battery dies and find a way to replace it.

i will let them do it and then after the factory warrenty is up I will just briong a guage with me...but I still love my bike...

The new sensor is around 160.00 dollars plus having ti scanned in.

get them done before warrenty is up....i got mine done for free and now they work well.... to bad it si 23 degrees outside.

my front sensor has not worked since i got the bike. we did the pliminaries on fixing it. now when i get good weather and no ice in driveway. they have the part..

I would say get gttp on ebay, 3 more years of full warranty for around 100 bucks a year, totally worth it. Maybe by 6 years they will get it fixed right, like replacable battery, after they eat enough of them.
What they really should have is a sensor that generates it's own power, like a built in gyroscope hooked to the unit for power. every turn, every revolution, makes power... Heck, they have watches that do that!
