Connie lowered

Anybody have some pics of their Connie lowered? I'm thinking of buying one but a little worried it's too tall of a bike. I'm 5'8" and was looking at these. Anyone used the Muzzy lowering brackets?

Did you do both or just the links? You have pics of it?

I was seriously thinking about it but ended up just getting my seat modified to lower me about the same amount. Keeping the stock handling characteristics in the process.

I would love to lower my bike but the last time i did i crashed it as it change the handling characteristics, dragged the pegs to much. I'll keep reading the posts I guess

Lower it and you will totally fuck up the handling and ride...I stretched my ZX, but will not lower it, though it looks a bit bizzare at the stock height stretched out 6"....

I would add a T/C to it though...this bike could use one...

Did you install them yourself or pay some to do it? What was the cost?

There is a definite handling problem that occurs when you lower the bike. Cornering Clearance. I am constantly dragging my left foot because it is under the shifter and sometimes if it isn't I can't get my left foot underneath the shifter and just have t sit there at the rev limiter until the bike is upright enough.

I had my C-14 lowered this week 1 inch in the back and 1 1/2 in the front. I had a group ride today with none of those issues. I tracked 250 miles with quick turns, sweeps, fast highway travel, and slow maneuvering. I used Muzzy lowering links and handle bar riser kit which advertises no adverse effects to handling. It’s true by bike may be a little stiffer when it comes to bumps but I was able to hang with the other C-14s in my group with no problems.
