Tank bag

I just purchased a new concours and pick it up next week. At the end of the month I am riding from Fl to CA then playing around in CO for a couple weeks. I am trying to find out what has been found to be a good magnetic tank bag and a good soft bag to carry on the back. As I do not have alot of time to be returning things before the trip, I thought some of you might be able to point me in the right direction.

Thanks for any info you can give.

Hey buddy! Welcome. I have a Nelson Rigg SSC-120. It has a lot of room and a pocket on each side with solid zippers. The magnets are VERY strong. The clear plastic map pocket on top is removeable and is very handy to holding maps and directions were you can see them.

Mawonline.com (motorcycle accessory warehouse) has them for $59.99 plus shipping.

The only con I see to this bag is that the material that separates the magnets from the bike seems slightly weak. It seems like the magnets may potentially tear through the material because they are so strong. This has not happened, but seems possible. This can be easily remedied by simply placing a towel down on the tank first, then the bag. As I mentioned, the magnets are plenty strong, so the bag should still stick great!

I've owned a tour master in the past and was very happy with that. They are a little more pricey, but very high quality.

For the money, the Nelson-Rigg is hard to beat IMHO. Good luck and enjoy your ride!
