I FREAKING HATE SILVER!
I can't believe this crap. I had my ZX-14, red, for 13,000 miles, almost 2 years with no one ever pulling out in front of me or cutting into my lane. I have this C14 for a week and I been pulled in front of once and had 3 people cut into my lane. Soon as I get home from Houston I'm painting it metallic red. Gonna see about putting some Kameleon blue/red flake in it maybe. I'm gonna leave a silver stripe where the Kawa logo is and leave the tank and rear fairing silver just to avoid some taping and make the job easier. I think I'll like the 2 tone better anyway.

Here's a photoshop job of what the new paint will look like. I figure this way is less work with taping off the logos and disassembly.

Have you thought about wearing a bright colored jacket? Of course green is the preffered color.

Ya, I don't think it would be the same though. And I really never liked the silver bike in the first place. I can paint it myself for probably $200 or less.

I do some painting myself. Dupli color sells quarts if you liked your old color. Their clearcoat goes on quite well.

I used to be a paint chemist for House of Kolor and Valspar. I wanted to go with a blue/red Kameleon but it's a little darker than I wanted. I might put some blue/red flake in the red metallic I'm gonna do though. I want to try to find something like a candy red. I know HoK sells some candy basecoats. There's a Valspar/HoK shop near my house, I live right by the factory in Picayune, MS. They sell quarts too.
