Concours heat on the thighs..
I absolutely love my new C14 in everyway but must say the heat (engine) gets just a tad uncomfortable sometimes , especially when it's 90 plus out! How r you guys feeling/ dealing ?

I only have about 600 miles on mine so far and the weather has not been that hot yet BUT I feel the heat also but more towards my lower legs. From looking around this site it seems to be a common problem..

There is heat insulating foam that is not properly placed from the factory. There is a thread on this and it cures alot of the heat. Also it mostly goes away when the bike has a few thousand miles on it.

look for the thread called "hot ankles". it's got some good info. the heat on mine seems to be getting better now that i have about 1100 miles. i also zip tied the foam on the R/H side as detailed in that thread i mentioned.

curious as I just picked up an '08 Busa and there's not an ounce of heat escaping onto me. Got my head scratching over this now.

I just hit 12,000 miles and recently changed oil to amsoil synthetic 10-40 and have noticed that the heat has dropped by a 3rd. no more burning ankles.

I am going to amsoil at 2000 miles, also to really get rid of ankle heat get some heat tape and wrap the converters. Yes the muffler will get hotter, but I am pretty sure, just by taping the cat area it would help tremendously, and it should be real easy to do.... You might actually pick up a small amount of power as well......

Thanks for the insight fellas, I'm at 2550 miles but will probably try amsoil 10-40 synthetic on the next change.

I've posted that here a few times before, after having owned 2 Busa's and spending a lot of time on Gixxers...none of them have any heat issues. Suz knows how to manage engine heat, and they're the only ones that do...
