Security Question: Parking the connie....
Outside the hotels I satyed in during a run up to Maine...the "keyless" access was a source of some concern. I tested it even when I left it in my 3rd flr hotel room when no one was looking...and it started even that far from the bike.As this info gets passed throughout the MC community I think I may end up disc locking it. I'm not sure if this was discussed before as far as someone selling an "isolating bag" of some sort. I didnt think to put it in the refrigerator of the room until I was leaving the last place I stayed on my final leg home....but that seems rediculous anyway...any info out there?

Anything over 6 feet from mine and it won't come alive.

I usually do that. But even when I just go to "off" the key is locked in and the switch won't turn after the fob's about 6 feet away.

Everyday when I arrive at work, I leave the bike in 1st gear shut it off, lock the bars and turn the key to the lock position and walk away knowing that it is not going anywhere. 5 feet away and there is no response.

I just finished filling out my application to the MENSA society...I'm not even going to go into WHERE the spare fob was. That's what happens when you get help packing for a trip...thanks for your responses. Works fine when the extra fob is not on the bike...yeesh, sorry guys...smack away.

You could have at least left the spare FOB under the seat so no one could STEAL it!

Actually, it had been packed with some clothing I didn't have a cause to wear. I went a little nutty looking for it, it almost went in the washer, as all my clothing from the trip went in the hamper when I got home...I was tempted to blame it on my sweet girl...but I'm manning up and taking the hit, sharpest knife in the drawer...LOL..damn
