I like that black and white.

Most people on the track riding other brands VERY MUCH hate Honda's as they blow by :P

I'm pretty sure it will be a bit lighter than the 471 ton GSXR1K. And alot better looking.
Or were you talking 600's? I hope not, let's not even take a look there .
+1
Its no secret or debate the CBR600RR is the one for '07.
It is about time, the R6 & 6R have been walking all over the CBR for more yrs. than I'd care to count. I'm pretty sure it's a 1st & 2nd pt lead for Kawi in the AMA SS class. But, I will give you that for 07 the CBR is the best Bone stock 600. Can't remember the last time I ever left anything bone stock.
I'd like to see Honda do SOMETHING in the liter bike class though. Give the other 3 something to shoot down in 09. LOL.... Then I'll buy one again. Right now I'm riding one of the baddest R1s' on the planet!!!! Nothing is touchin' it unless there's an 11 or a 66 on the # plate!!!!
OK, maybe I went alittle over the top w/ that last one. LOL....

Stock? How about the modified CBR600RR's winning multiple Championships in World Supersport(care to count?), every Formula Extreme Championship since it switched to 600cc, and leading this years AMA FX? How soon we forget?

I think I may have misworded that last statement. Bone stock it is the best 600 out there, with equal simple mods the R6 & 6r are equal to & or surpass the 600rr. I don't think that the World supersport or formula extreme classes or AMA superbike class for that matter represent anything even close to what we'll ever ride on a street or a track for that matter.
AMA supersport & superstock classes are the classes that I would think would best represent what you & I would ride. Those are the classes that represent what we can make of our bikes bought off the dealers floor.

Just for the record, I'm not just trying to twist any Honda fans' nipples(although I'm definitely NOT a Honda fan). I'm just voicing my thoughts. I can't stand Suzukis either but , it's pretty hard to argue that they don't make the best overall liter bike. I've owned a 2004 zx10r that I had alot of money into to make it go faster, I thought it was the cat's meow. Then, I went and picked up up an 04 R1 did the same exact mods to it & I dropped my lap times by such a dramatic difference that I'm embarassed to say how much. And the R1 dynoed 17HP less peak than the ZX10. I guess the point I'm trying to make is, unless we've ridden and compared them head-up it's kind of hard to just say that brand A is better than brand B because I own brand A.

I'm just hoping brand A being Honda is ahead in '08 as I suspect it will be.
I'm not a brand follower either. The litre bikes are so competitive now anyway, which is good for us consumers.

I have to agree with zx1kr here. If you ride any of these bikes (ie: zx10r, R1, cbr1000rr, Gixxer), you would be convinced that it can't get any better than that. I have an 04' ZX10R that I've modded to the hilt, and wouldn't trade it for anything... However, when I took my '04 R1 out on the track this year, I realized right out of the box how good that bike is in that environment. If I had ridden my ZX10R like that when it was stock, or with the same degree of "red mist in my eyes," there's a good chance it would've highsided me into oblivion. I totally love riding my 10R on the street and it's plenty fast and sorted now and perfect for its intended purpose.
If Honda does step it up in the 1000RR as they did with the CBR600RR this year, it should be impressive. Although I love the 07 ZX6R, the CBR turned it into an "also-ran" at all but the highest levels of racing. The CBR1000RR was hugely successful in full race guise and as a superbike. However, in stock trim it was less than satisfying. If Honda can inject some of the straight goods in stock trim, they'll have a winner on their hands and the rest of the manufacturers will be scrambling for cover.
