Im 250lbs i lift alot of weights so i feel very uncomfortable on the 06 gsxr, also the zx10 i dont like the seating position, thats why i bought my 03 12r, had more leg room,i did'nt feel so cramped. but it's still a very nice bike.

You know im comfortable on it and i feel it carries me well. I felt to scrunched on the 05-06 zx10 and the GSXr. But i must say they are nice bikes.

That's not the 2007 GSXR1000, the 07 has a GS550F like headlight on it. Plus around 20 pounds of extra weight over the 06 model.

Thanks Lizard. Part of the extra 15-20 some pounds added to it is from the dual exhaust which have cats to meet 2008 emissions STDs. Notice I didn't write out "standards" cause the shit is an STD to the performance world, fuckin tree-humpin hippies and their bullshit "greenhouse" propaganda, bitches.
I don't think this GSXR is going to stand over the rest of the field like in years past, which really doen't matter too much since the rider themselves are the limiting factor. But still, if this one's 20-30 pounds heavier than the GSXR750 well...

See post above. EPA mandates. Just think what next year and the next will bring...on any brand. The aftermarket exhaust manufactures goota love the EPA!
At least one postive the weight savings by switching to an aftermarket pipe will be more than the usual 6-8 lbs we see today which goes a long ways when your spending $1000-1600 for an aftermarket pipe which add 5-8 hp on average
I disagree with Adam, I think this bike will have the same advantage prior versions had over each prior major upgrade and appears to be more aerodynamic. We will know in about 3 months if were lucky.

Bikes looked pretty good at the Dealer Show Sunday - I liked the yellow/silver combo.
Not too sure if I'm sold on the 3 position mapping thangy (that is now being touted as a form of traction control even though that phrase was not used during the presentation at any time).

Reducing hp and adding a smoother lower torque curve for rain riding is a great idea but not trac-control.
