zx14 oil pump leak
checked a zx14 stock oil pump cover on an engine I was working on. I could fit fit a .003 feeler gauge between the cover and case.put the muzzy cover on and still had .0015 clearance. the machining on the case where the cover sits looks like its interupted and has steps in it. keep an eye on that when your building your motor. light filing helped to take the steps out but on my motor I think I will do a light cut on my mill.

you put a gasket in there and your pump gear clearance will be to big

you cant put a shim in to fix it the pump gear will eat it

that should work but its so close to the gear plus the clearance appears to be on the highside. this one measured .003
