GPS VERIFY
Well just went out on a quick cruise to see how off the speedo is on the 2012 14r with a 16 tooth sprocket up front[-1 down]. Well instresting finding, what i did was go to a back road and just to be safe instead of watching the gps and speedo i just took my time and cruised up to 100mph REALLY slow as not to go past it. Once their i held it at 100 for about 5-6 seconds tops then pulled over and was SHOCKED to see max speed at 97.4. Wow i thought the reading would be off much more than that. Is the new 14r speedo read from wheel sensor's now or what. Either way pretty happy about the find. seems you can change the gearing and not be off. Now granted the faster you go it's going to be off more, but that goes with standard gearing anyway.

Yes there are wheel sensors on the front and rear wheels that do the speedo along with the traction control

2012 zx14r was released in November 2011 a few of us were beginning to do modifications as soon as we could, we were giving parts manufacturers info they didnt know, A few things we didnt test or modify were saddle bags and front fender extensions

I want to install a raptor dual mode shift light and was wondering how to pickup the speedometer signal to switch my light from launch mode to shift made. Thanks

One way spyder636 would be to start your own thread asking this. This gixxerjohn fella was a joke.
