Stock Metzeler M5 question

Happy Holidays all. Quick question about the stock metzelers on the 2012-2013 ZX14R's I just picked up a 120/70 for the front and 200/50 for the rear of my 2012 zx14. I noticed that Metzeler made two separate 120/70-17's and 190/50-17's. One was the standard tire and the other was "D spec" indicated specifically for the zx14. Just wondering what the difference is if anyone knows. Also just want to make sure that the non D spec 200/70-17 I just received was safe to use on my bike. I got good grip and wear out of the stockers so I figured I would go back to the M5's. Thanks

D-Spec is the multi compound version. For a bigger bike like the 14 I would imagine that entails a stiffer center section for lifespan, as opposed to a softer sidewall for handling.

The 14R specific tire is a 190/50ZR17.

I understand that 190/50zr17 is the stock size. I wanted to go wider so I went with the 200/50-17 non "d-spec" rear. The front I bought is a "D-spec" 120/70-17. If they are different compounds is it safe to mount them together. I guess I will have to call a Metzeler dealer. thanks
