Dyno Numbers
Got my bike tuned at Smithers Performance in Olathe, KS this week and am very happy with the results. The bike started at 184hp and 107tq with a Brocks street map and ended up making 190hp and 112tq. Bike was way rich in the mid range and now feels much smoother just cruising around. Anyone debating getting a custom map, needs to just sack up and do it.

Numbers look good. I'm sure the bike feels great driving around. Thanks for sharing with us.

Lilryan, I wasn't saying anything bad I was just saying I have seen bikes get "tuned" make more power on the dyno and slow down at the track. It sounds like you can feel a difference so that might not be the case with you. Very nice numbers on a Gen 1 regardless

Just for comparison on a dynojet 250i at 90 degrees and pretty high humidity my gen 2 with a Brocks CT meg and guhl flash made 196 on pump gas and 247 on spray. I never had it in the dyno stock but my jockeys gen 2 made 183 completely stock

Post your SAE 'smoothed' dyno chart and we'll decide if you're making power.

I had Smithers do a custom tune a few years ago on my 06, they showed me 3hp more on paper over Brock's map, but the Brock map was .3 quicker at the track, theres a reason for it being richer, the ram air is tuned with a Brock map and not with the Smithers, but since you street ride only you will get a little better gas mileage with the Smithers, nice hp numbers by the way.

Id have to look at the sheet, but i think i was at 184hp sae. i dont see how it couldnt run better at the track. the whole curve is above where it used to be. at no point in the power band did it make less power. ill see if i can figure out how to get the sheet uploaded.

Because real time track tuning takes into account the ram air that you can't see on a dyno.

190 hp isn't so far fetched 08 motor on a 06 frame dyno numbers 187 hp 108 tq this was done at harrys machine shop by rick Stetson.so I think this is possible, but again id have to agree good numbers on a dyno doesn't always mean good results at the track. m10 pipe and that was all she wrote.

As a few people have already mentioned, a map from Brock's Performance takes into account real world factors, like the ram air effect. Our maps start on the dyno and finish with real world testing and changes made accordingly. It's not surprising that you were able to achieve higher numbers, but the real test would be on the strip.
That being said, as long as you are happy, that's all that matters!
