Shock collar adjust-new spring

I put 1st gen busa spring on, didnt mark where stock spring was. How many threads, or hor far down should I adjust the collars as starting point. I am about 67" wheel base, 165lbs, Bike is slammed. Just wanting starting point before I put shock on, so wont have to adjust the hell out of it on the bike.

At 165 lbs I'm not sure putting a stiffer spring is the answer to your problem.
Sell the spring and get a revalved shock.

I am bottoming out my tail on my tire, rubbing a spot about 3" across. Cant get re-valve till later anyways, gotta spend money on other parts. May have ring/cynlnder problem I need to look into more.

The spring isn't what stops the tire from bottoming out. The spring is what holds the bike up.
Now your going to run into the issue of your rebound coming up to fast causing traction issues. Your too light for a spring.
How much gap do you have between your tire and undertake while sitting on the bike?

I did not measure with stock spring, but was planting tire with compression hard. I have heard spring can help with downward force when launching. I called Race Tech today, and gave length and weight. they recomended a new spring, which was really close to the busa spring. Guy said spring should work fine, and stock way too weak. He did recomend the re-valve with the spring though, but said try spring first.
I have increased crank case issue that cause oil to go into air-box. I need to do compression and leakdown test to check rings. Bike runs good, just pumps oil into box. I only have it filled to barely above low mark on oil site. So, I am saving what I can for re-build, which is why cant do re-valve now. I can cut a mid 1.4 sixty ft now, ran 9.30's. Trying see if can get low 1.40. I foot shift and hand clutch. I need dyno tune too, but waiting to fix motor. I had dyno tune set up and had to cancel due to oil/crank case pressure issue arising. My trap speed is only 145-147 in 1/4. I think can get it a little better with tune, think bike is a little lean up top.

Do you have a modified oil pan?
I don't think oil pumping into air box means your motor needs rebuilding.

I have OSC cut pan. I have pulled off more than once. I do not think put anything back on, that was not supposed to be. This is about 1/4 of oil, it fills catch resivoit and then fills oil box.
I bought bike used. Guy removed flies. stripped screws and drilled out heads. I am thinking maybe metal shavings went down throttle boddies and messed up piston rings.

Did Osr cut the oil pickup?
Do you still have the return hose attached?(small hose)
If you have the small hose attached, take it off. You don't need it.
If you let the air of fill up and oil run into intake your going to have motor issues.
