Are zx14 cylinders coated with anything? thinking about boring
I'm wanting to bore 2 over and I have apocalypse shop that does good work. Willing to give them a try but I need to know if the zx14 cylinders are coated with anything. Can I just bore and put pistons in or do I need to have coated with nikasil or some other coating?

What, aluminum won't work for a cylinder, bummer. It would make for interesting oil though. Try it & report back how long it lasted. Oh & lots of pics please.

Send your block to Millenium. They have the most experience at bori g and replating.
