D-Axis Rearsets w/CT Meg wont work!!!

Just a heads up for anyone looking at getting a set of these and running a brocks CT meg, and maybe any other type of megaphone exhaust, these d-axis rearsets will not clear the exhaust with the master cylinder mounted.

I have them for sale in the classified section.

is it a short meg style? yea im pretty much screwed out the money i spent to anodize the parts and then some..its my fault.

Youre better off just getting some vortex and call it a day.

yea its their short megaphone. i like sato as well but pricey. id like to get rid of those bulky stockers. for some reason my right side peg is wearing out and tearing already. i only wear my tennis and or joe rocket boots when i ride. and i only have 3600 miles on my bike.
how much of a clearance issue is there? could you maybe put some sort of spacer?

i tried putting a couple of washer and mounting the muffler on the inside portion of its support bracket and no go. also the foot rest wont clear at its oem setting, you have to mount it the next holes up

well been on the phone with the tech from driven and think we mightve came up with a solution. it would be to modify the support bracket for the muffler and extended down, only issue with that is that you would have to either shave down the rear lower fairing or get rid of it all together.

dropped the bracket off at the machine shop and having them lower the mounting hole 3/8 of an inch, hope this does it.

With the vortex i had same issue
I made a new bracket, dimpled my meg so the rear part of brake arm had clearance and used the bottom cowl .
I removed the bottom cowl later as i have adjustable lowering links and like to adjust them and also made using my chain scrubber much easier without that 5 lb pos. Looks dumb on there with single exh imo anyway lol

took the mufler bracket to a machine shop and had them lower the mounting hole 3/8 of an inch and spaced out the rearsets using couple of thick washers and clearance issue is fixed.
