Speed question
Just want to hear what you guys say, one of our local Busa(Gen 1) riders has according to him a 1449cc , no nos or turbo, just motor that runs 223 mph over a distance of + - 2,2miles. He uses 2 x GPS's to justify the speed. Do you guys think it is possible, this is at a very high altitude where we loose up to 15% of hp(normal aspirated motor) compared to the coast - sea level.They have a GSX R 1000 that runs 218mph over the same distance which they also claim no Nos just motor.

simple put, doubt it. the gsxr stock won't see 200, even with a little motor work will struggle. the busa with only 1449 would do 200 butcan't imagine 223 without a 23mph tail wind. their gps must be off.
