14 ready to be tuned, Project #2 gets some changes
I have the Monster Energy ZX-14 finished and ready to go to the dyno later. After a visit to Miss. State UNV. for my middle daughter for Vet school looks like the second bike will recieve less attn. than previously thought. School is expensive! Any way its going to be a fun bike. the 2010 motor has a little less than 1350 miles on it, for now it wil go in stock. So here are a few pics of the project bike and how its coming along.
I painted the frame semi-gloss black. Then set the frame on the motor.

Next I put the front end back on and the CM underbraced swingarm I had.

Jacked it up and installed the rim, tire and the kickstand.

I installed the 03 faring stay with ram air ducts. The bottom two bolts line up same as the Gen 1 gauges.

Although the top line up plastic pins on the back of the 2010 gauges that push through the rubber grommets in the stay do not line up. so I marked and relocated the grommets in the stay to fit the new gauges

Here the nose faring is back on with the 2010 gauges.

I went with a tsukigi cannon exhaust. got a deal on it. all the wiring is hooked up

So its rolling, still got to get an undertail for it. everything from the gen 2 was bolt on. had to do a little bit of fabing on the faring stay. hope to have it running in a few weeks.
