only 9.4s but without buying 2 tires a year. the car tires have more rubber , and eliminate the occasional wheel spin 2nd &3rd gear.

No need for anything like that. If your running 9.4's (stock motor) you shouldn't need anything more than a good shock and a hook up or power one.
What classes are you plan on running with this bike?

That would be a waste, a shinko hook up will last 200 passes easy and there 135.00. what you will spend on a 240 swing arm and wheel for the slick would buy you enough hook ups for a few years, and then you got the whole deal of having a car tire slick bike running 9.40's which most guys would laugh there asses off if they seen that at the track. bikes go 9.20 to 9.30 swb with the stock factory tire.

Maybe he meant 8.40's
9.40 on a street tire, track only bike and eat 2 tires, would probably mean crazy burnouts.
could be a shitty track or heavy rider

With the added weight and rotating mass, I wonder if he would go slower than if he just ran with a shinko being that he's gunning for the 9's.

So........the answer is no. I dont care how you run your bikes. I just wanted to know if anyone put big tires on their bikes. Too bad you guys have never seen car tire bikes with wheelie bars. That is how we used to race and they hardly ever crash. Quit your whining - you Mr. Perfect racers and Merry Christmas.

Seen plenty of wheelie bar bikes in my day. it's just not needed on these street bikes you ask for opions and got them if you don't like the answers don't ask. I love slow wheelie bar bikes with slicks, it's fun to ride throught the gate pay my entry and run faster then throw my tank bag back on a rife home. to me if a bar bike isn't running 8.20's or faster it aint worth watching. a quick street bike is much neater in opion. and why not just run the shinko 008 slick if you want a slick? smokins been in the 8.40's at over 164 on one and always hooks and the last a whole season easy. and it goes on your factory rim.

I agree, I like racing fast bikes with no bars, they have more chances to screw up .I do run shinkos. but even weighing 260 some tracks are loose on top end. I am not interested in running 7 sec any more. only the check at the end of the day. and I did not ask for opinions I asked if anyone put 8" slick on. Your answer should have been yes or no.

Your putting a big slick on the back because you think it's going to be safer?

I'm curious how much slower it will go having to pull an 8" flat slick.
