Thinking about 2mil this winter
After 2 years of beating on my 07 14 and quite a few 170mph passes with nitrous on my stock piston and rod engine I think its time to split this bitch apart, what can I expect from 2 mil high compression pistons with stock cams? my best motor pass has been 8.59@156mph

That makes a 1417 ? Depending on what compression you use i'd say around 20 hp .. That should get you nicely into the 8.40s on motor ..

Head cleanup, port match, 2mm pistons ,= 215 hp on pump gas more on race fuel.did that in 07.it does make quite a bit more torque too.

Now please don't yell and scream if I'm off base here but I thought cams were an integral part of a 2 mil motor. The cams are already too small supposedly for 1352cc and it'll just get worse with 86mm pistons. I've seen a 2 mil, cams, headwork 14 run around here and he's in a whole different class than our NA14 and we're not that slow at all. I watched him race another bike that ran a 5.53 on that particular pass and he patted the gas on him from the 330' on. If you add cams to the 2 mil engine with your riding skills and the way the bike is already set up I'd guess you'd run some 5.30's to 5.20's possibly in good air.

I know of two guys running 2 mil motors and they are both a BEAST. You will love it. Good luck and can't wait to hear the results.
