Has anyone built a system that when activated, automatically fires the airshifter at a designated rpm - effectively, you just pin it.

Hey Smokin, that looks like a nice set up, and this may be a dumb question, but don't you use an MPS Autoshifter? If so, what would be the purpose of the shift light?

I had an MPS auto shift on my bike ... Didn't work half of the time ... it would also shift into 2 gear in my burn out .. So i took it off the bike and sent it to MPS .... I had them send me standard Kill box ( no auto shift ).. So now i need a shift light ...

Nice! I looked at that one and the Daytona shift light, ended up going with the Daytona because of the data logger, Make sure you set it a little lower than when you want to shift due to reaction time...

I did ...I set it 11k and mine runs best shifting at 11,200.. I'll just have to try it there and see what happens..

Cliff, Here is one that will activate a shifter... Heard good things about them.. $125 for the autoshift feature and $105 without.

I used one of these and had to set dip switches for the light to come on at 10.500 rpm to keep motor out of rev limiter. Tried everything i know to get it to come on closer to where i actually shift,(11000rpm) it just got worse.
I called for tech help and basically was told i was doing something wrong???? Its a nice compact unit and its still on my bike, but i don't use it when i shift anymore. It was when they first came out so it may not even be an issue now...........

I rode a zx10 last year with a boostbysmith shift light and auto shift and it worked flawless, first bike I've ever rode with an auto shift. I do not have a problem watching the tach most times.

I use the boostbysmith light and the auto-shift has never failed. Setting it up is not that hard. When you are setting it up the bike has to be in gear, kickstand up, and if you are setting the launch rpms the clutch has to be held in. We called greg on a wk end and he got back to us that same day.
