No ATF visit. Bump firing ain't illegal. I have a Slidefire stock on my AR and do this all the time...legally. I haven't tried it with my Kel Tec PLR-16 though. Pretty cool.

1bad - Bump firing has been going on forever. ATF can't regulate it because nothing on the gun has been modified. Slidefire stock doesn't mod the firing mechanism so it does meet the criteria for a NFA item.

i hear ya .. but who would have taught that smoking outside would be illegal and regulated .. and you be forced to buy heathcare.. just think back a few years you had a band on " assault weapons" .. my thinking all weapons are an assault.. hell back in 1920 you could by a tommy gun but you couldn't have a beer ..

just for debate im sure two shotguns weren't illegal also..
quote:No. On Oct. 24, 1989, Weaver sold two shotguns whose barrels arguably measured 1/4 inch less than the 18 inch length determined arbitrarily by Congress to be legal. The H&R single-barrel 12-ga. and Remington pump were sold to a good friend who instructed Weaver to shorten the barrels. The "good friend" was an undercover informant working for the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms (BATF), who later told reporters he was in it "mainly for the excitement."

All the weapons ban would do is keep honest citizens from having them. The bad guys will still get them cuz they don't care what he laws say. That's why I'm glad I already have mine.

i hear ya.. you got the gun but the ATF has the paperwork to the gun you have and know where it sits.. same with mine ...ask the people in New Orleans about guns and ATF and Local law enforcement during and after Katrina.. and the house to house search and seizure that took place ..all in the name of keeping us safe

there is no NFA paperwork to buy a handgun. the only paperwork is the purchase or out of state transfer help by the dealer and kept at that location.

quote:Unlike their military cousins -- which have three-round burst settings -- commercially available AR-15 type rifles like Bushmaster's are semiautomatic, meaning one bullet per trigger pull. But a little searching on YouTube turns up numerous videos showing how quickly AR-15 type rifles can unload dozens of rounds and even one example of how to turn a "semi-auto into a full-auto machine using a household rubberband!"
