Two bike trailer size?
I've got a 5x8 enclosed when hauling just my bike and also have a 7x18 for our three bikes and scooter.
What I'm wanting is the smallest (for fuel mileage) enclosed that will hold two bikes so when one of the boys go with me or my bike and the scooter.
Will a 6x10 work with the bikes staggered?
Thanks Guys,
Dan

We haul 2 in a 6x10, its kinda tight. Had a 6x12 V nose and 2 bikes fit easily, even hauled 3 in it, 1 all the way forward and 2 staggered behind it. 12' Vnose pulls easy and got better milage with it than the flat nosed 6x10.

I had a 7x12, which was perfect for 2 bikes. I sold it, dummy me. On the other hand, I nearly never haul 2 bikes, so I downsized to the 6x.
My current 6x10 with 3 ft v-nose will haul 2. It's the outside tiedowns that have nearly no room for the proper angle.
I use 2 Baxley Sportchocks offset by about a foot, front to rear. These are *almost* good enough to keep the bikes in place with no tiedowns, and they hold the bike in place while you tie it down. I have an extra mount so that I can haul 1 bike in the middle, which is what I will do nearly all the time.
I use the rachet type tiedowns for extra confidence. O'Reilly Auto Parts has a nice pair for about $30.

If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

I have a 7x18 and 6x12. I use the 6x12 most often. It holds 2 long bikes with room to spare. I sometimes hual two long bikes, a stock wheelbase bike, generator, and tent; tight fit, but it works. I pull the 6x12 with a mid size SUV.
I had a 6x10, and it worked for two bikes, but the extra room of the 6x12 made trailer much more comfortable. There was no noticeable difference in towing.

Thanks for the info, sure helps and keeps me from guessing.
I just didn't know for two big bikes like 14's if they'd fit in an enclosed with the 6' wide box instead of a 7 footer, I was concerned the width might make strapping them down tough on the sides.
I'm thinking with a V-nose a 6x10 should work. We run stock arms so I believe 10 foot plus the V should be long enough.
Appreciate your help & input folks,
Dan

I put 2 in my Chevy van, one a little further up than the other so the handle bars dont hit together...
