Busa LOOKS the same, but I will say this is the same magazine that leaked pics and specs on the new zx10r and 2012 zx14, and they were accurate on both.

when suzuki strikes back it will be playing hard ball..................with that being said the new zx14r is too powerful for the public. As with any bike if you don`t have push button shift you can not extract and control all the power out of it..........over the weekend i finished tuning my ps3 push button shifter and the top end hit of the 14r is very very dangerous.it will snap to redline faster than the button can be pushed on the back fucking tire and it accelerate just as hard in 4,5,6 gears as it does in first. i had master all the power of my zx12r but this 14r dwarfs it in a huge way..THIS BIKE IS TOO FAST FOR THE PUBLIC AT REDLINE..................

I can foot shift just as good as i can pushbutton provide the bike launches strait. I did it with my 500 hp turbo bike all the time. When i raced motocross back in the day riding my KX500 and foot shifting that was a handfull. If you perfect the bump shift without the clutch then you wont have any trouble. You just have to learn to launch with your left foot on the peg.

Suzuki simply doesn't have the funds to keep pace with Kawasaki as far as bringing out new or upgraded bikes every couple of years. Not like Kawasaki even needed to bring out a new Ninja 300, since the new 250 was brought out in 09. And another 636, and all.of the other types of models most of us here could give 2 shits about..

They are doing all of this because they can afford to. I'm quite sure the busa in a few years will be changed to keep pace with the current 14R, but by the way Kawasaki is pumping out new bikes and promoting the hell out of them, they probably alreadyhave another 14R ready to bring out as we speak....

It's all about revenue, which Suzuki just doesn't have.

Which makes buying a 5000$ gen 1 busa and building it a completely smarter option then waiting on a new gen 3...

The extra power of the 14R has kind of suprised me. Its an all around different bike for me to get used to simply because I am not racing anymore and riding at stock height. I have to agree, this bike is dangerous for the masses. Luckily, the price keeps it out of the mainstream. Any bike is dangerous in the hands of an idiot though. Imagine putting the average joe behind the wheel of a bugatti...you would have the same results.

Suzuki will have an answer eventually... Until then, maybe Kawasaki has learned its lesson on letting the ZX12 live in the Busas shadow?

now thats funny.

I think that if the busa was moved up to a 1441 this is what would happen.

Oh shoot that is a busa 1441 dusting off a zx1441
