My Dyno Numbers...Sweet!
When to a free dyno night and had my 2012 ZX14R on the dyno. My performance mods are nothing save Brocks Gen 3 full exhaust. I did use the ride it like you stole it break in method. The numbers were good! The evening was cool and not humid at all. I know you guys ask (not that I know the difference) but the numbers are SAE. So I had two runs of 198 HP and 199 HP respectively. Then everyone including the dyno operator said do it again so on the third run it hit 200.1 HP and 120 TQ. Oh and these were all sixth gear runs.
I realize the dyno may have been "generous" and I know you can't compare different dynos but for comparison the following bikes had these numbers on the same night:
2011 S1000RR w/ akaprovic slip-on, PC custom tune 182 HP
2001 S1000RR w/ alienhead full exhaust, PC brock map 176 HP (running very fat from 5K on)
2007 ZX14 w/ akaprovic full exhaust, flies out PC unkown map 188 HP
The dyno operator was impressed. He said he had never seen a stock bike do anything like that. I have a video of the first two runs if someone cares to help upload.

Nice numbers. The more dyno numbers I see the more I realize I need to modify the engine in my old school N/A14 to run like the 14r. I've got dyno envy. Keep all those horsies under control and enjoy.

Sweet, indeed. I probably won't mess w/the dyno, as I'm pretty satisfied. My butt tells me it's pulling really hard and my brain tells me it's stupid fast. So does Brock's...

Seems to be pretty good. I would consider those numbers to be pretty respectable and if I had to go out on a limb I would say they are "real"....in other words given the fact that you have ridden it hard and had a quality pipe approaching or squeaking 200 is indeed believable, all things considered.
Enjoy....I'm just glad the brakes match the power.

The two BMW dyno's look to be consitant with what they pull with bolt-ons around the country, but that 07 ZX14 with the Akra was about 10+hp higher then any "stock" sae number I have seen.
Good #'s on your's- thats what they make.

Is there any indication on those documents what the density of the atmosphere was during the tests?

My 2007 made 181 HP with a not quite right tune so I believe the 188 HP...

No there is not...I did hear people say it was "good weather" for dyno runs. Grand Rapids MI about 8:30pm 06/22/12, I'm sure someone can get those numbers

Big Blue_ZX14,
Nice numbers! That's right where you should be given the info. listed here. The STD scale would bump you up to to the 203-205 range. Add a PCV with our mapping, light weight oil, our Petron additive and a trick or two from our private forums and you would have made their heads spin at around 210 SAE (:
It's amazing that you can just stroll up and throw down 200 RWHP these days, without even really trying - great job!

Good pulls last night BigBlue.
It was nice to see only the Kawasaki's making over 185 rwhp.
The BMW's did not pull the high numbers like everyone anticipated.
I found his dyno to be very consistent with other dyno's I have had my bike on.
We need to meet up some evening for a street run and do some testing.
