First Loser Tonight.
I have won the e/t class twice in a row and was going for a 3peat tonight. The bike was running quicker tonight for some reason (maybe due to reducing the killtime by 10 milisec). I was breaking out by .2 in test n tune. I had to get off the gas much earlier then usual to qualify. I made it to the finals without a problem. I was so confident tonight that I gave a friend some $$$$ and told him to side bet all takers, every round. Thank goodness that after a few rounds no one would bet against me, because I got to the finals and lost! I was up against a seasoned bracket racer who was known for cutting a great light.So, I deceided that I was going to cut his head off at the light; and I did just that. I had a .013 reaction and a very good 60'. I now know why e/t racers keep their mirrors on their bikes. I got to the 330' and I couldn't hear or see him. As I stated before, I had been breaking out all night during test n tune; and I was on the quickest pass of the night! I rolled completely out of the throtle after the 330'; and now here that m/f comes like a bat out of hell! I got back in the throtle and we crossed the finish line so close together that I had to look up at the win light to see who won. Afterwards, I found him in the pits and went over to shake his hand.
He said " you had me but you sprayed too much dope off the line and had to get out of it". I smiled, congratulated him and walked away. I felt pretty good that he thought I was spraying, because I was running on stock motor all night long and didn't even have a bottle on the bike.
The moral of this story is: f#ck it, I Iost, but our stock motor zx14s are still badass bikes.

Hahah I did the same damn thing a couple weeks ago on a index race final round 1k winner take all. I shut down at the 1000' and he comes right around me I had no chance to make up the ground but it sure was fun

Sportsmanship at its best! There is alot more envolved in bracket racing than people know...As they say you can't win them all but it sure is fun trying. Congrats! You still should have been in the money!

It was winner takes all, hence"First Loser" . However, I did do pretty well for myself the few side bets I got in on the earlier rounds.
Also, I forgot to tell ya'll, I was the #1 qualfier, so it wasn't all bad.

i did the same thing last nite in the finals ..look back at the 600ft mark ..other guy is around 10 bikes back i chop the throttle and he got by me for the win .. i haven't been the chasee for a long time.. i got to learn how to judge better

Lost again last night. Dialed in for the 10.20 class I got him on the tree he got me on 60' it looked bad so I laid in it made up ground got in front and walked him down the track I broke out with a. 10.193 he locked em up at the line and went 10.31 lol. Good race tho I had fun

He really did think I was spraying!
When I got to the track today, he asked for a grudge race "motor to motor". Now I have an extra $450 in my pocket.
