busted oil pan
I was coming from the gas station and heard a little bump, thought it was one of the lowering links scraping the ground so i really didnt pay much attention to it. When i changed gears the rear wheel wanted to spin out, so when i got home i looked under the bike and thats when i saw the oil pan was busted...smh. I was pissed beyond belief when i saw oil pouring from around the drain plug. How easy/difficult is it to change the oil pan? and how much am i looking to spend to get it replaced?

Call Shannon at OSR (www.osrbikes.com) and he will get you fixed up with drain pan that it's a bit shorter and the drain plus is removed. I lot of guys here have his pans and they work great!
Only other option is find a used pan, but then you could run into the possibility of having same problem.

Drain plug gets moved to the back (up on the back side actually) of the pan, where it can't contact the groud .........
____________
You only need two tools: WD-40 and Duct Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

Mine cracked around the plug, sent it OSR. They did a good job. Go to their website and check out the pics.

Cold motor. Drain oil. Remove exhaust so pan can be removed. Disconnect sensor on left front of pan. Drop pan by removing all the bolts. Nothing to it.

O-ring sits in between the block and the oil pan. You will see it when you drop the pan down by the corner of the pan with the oil filter.
When i put the OSR pan on my bike the hardest part was remembering what bolts the fearing brackets went through!
