Was riding for the past few weeks..doing just fine. Until....

Kicked the rear tire and made the whole bike buck sideways. Luckily no wreck.

I have seen that happen twice before. Both sets were purchased on ebay.

I have had that to happen before, the problem is, the bolt has threads all the way to the nut making it week. figure out about where your adjustment needs to be, go to the hardware store by case hardened bolts I think 8mm, get one that only has enough threads to work with what you have probably about a each and a half of threads the rest of the bolt should be smooth. This worked for me and I never had any more problems with that.

The bolts on my extensions look thicker than that... They definitely aren't adjusted out that far. Gonna keep my fingers crossed I don't have any similar problems. I've been riding her more than a year and 5,000 miles. Knock on wood.

If the axles tightened to spec torquewise I don't understand how that would happen. The bolts are just for adjusting right? Not meant to hold the power of the motor back? I know on my stretched, lowered, cammed and piped gsxr-1100 I have a similiar situation and have never had a prob. I know it doesn't have 14 power but it hits pretty hard. I also use a torque wrench tho and tighten that axle down to specs
Just not understanding why thats happening....

You gotta torque the axle nut to 90-95 ft lbs. Those botls are for adjusting not intended for containing the axle position. Why did you turn your axle around?

Sometimes you have to flip the axle for clearance of the muffler on the right side. Had to do this on my buddy's 14. He is SWB tho.. pretty sure when you are stretched it's less of an issue??

that's what i ended up doing, flipping the axle blocks around to have less bolt sticking out.

I flip the axle as to when you are tightening everything up it keeps your chain tight as to loosening it when the axle nut is on the other side. Something i've always picked up and have done on previous bikes

Extensions were purchased from a board member..soo im not sure where they're from. Look to be the same set i had on my 06 zx14..never had an issue then
