guhl flash vs ecu unleashed
I was speaking to a shop (same shop that did seno's 14r) about the unleashed flash and they told me the guhl flash doesnt really tinker with the fuel settings but the unleashed flash does. That tells me there is a possibility of a tiny bit more hp from the unleashed flash. However, if your planning on using a pc with the flash to squeeze out every bit of hp then it wont matter which flash you use.
unleashed flash is 449$. Anyone have the price on the guhl flash? (they are closed till monday)

$350.00 & he can load a pc map into it as well.

I don't know these guys at ecu unleashed , They may be very good at what they do .. I do know Don Guhl , I have his Reflash that is made to work with Brock street map and race map for the ZX14R .. Don and Brock worked on this combo together.. Brock just doesn't work with anyone , he is very picky on what he wants and needs to make the best HP numbers .. You have seen my numbers , this combo has been tested on the dyno and the track .. Proof is in the pudding ..

so it looks at this point in time smokin has the quickest 2012 zx14r in the WORLD.how can anybody go wrong with his set up.great job guys on the r & d............

Lee, can you post your dyno chart from the SMEG and the AH2, to include the A/F. I don't remember seeing the dyno w/AH2

price is better then ecu unleashed for sure. I dont have a pc yet. After I get my exhaust squared away ill have to decide which flash to go with.
eventually (after the flash), ill wind up with a pc and have a custom tune designed around the flash to fine tune the a/f and pick up a few more hp.
maybe i could go with guhls flash, get a pc, have a custom map built, load the pc map into guhls flash and sell the pc to get some money back.

the main reason im leaning towards the unleashed flash is b.c I can have everything done at my local shop (powerhouse, same place that did seno's 14r flash)
i see you said street map and race map. can gulhs flash hold multiple maps? or are you using a pc for fine tuning with these maps?

Frank at Powerhouse is good people, I have done business with him for years. Brock is good people also, he goes the extra mile for his customers and has helped me out a few times. There is no head to head comparison with the ECU's being plugged into the same bike & run on the same dyno. Anyone have a Guhl flash and local to Suffolk,NY? Until we get them heads up on the same bike it's not realistic to see who actually has the best mapping. As far as the features go they are similar except the ECUnleashed will stay in whatever TC setting you leave it in and not default to putting it on.

I agree, let's put them on the same bike, same day..... I think it's all how you plan to set your bike up. If you plan to use a Brock exhaust and run his maps, I suggest that you go with Brock.
If you plan to use any exhaust other than a Brock, this should be a great mod for a good price. 8 hp w/ a reflash ... is what's up..... I don't think every exhaust will yield 8, but perhaps five.
The only issue is the maps support.... Perhaps there is more power w/this tune and a Brock exhaust (remapping)....
Brock is not the end-all....

Sorry can't post something i don't have .. But brocks bike is set up just like mine and he has dyno charts on his site using pump gas and MR12 .. Brock tested both maps and both fuels at the track and they were spot on .. Any adjustment he made at the track slowed the bike down...
