Its not a hard question to answer. The beemer makes on the average of 182hp with 78 ftlbs of torque all stock, and the 14R 190 to 195hp 113 ftlbs of torque.
Yes the beemer is 100 lbs less but stock for stock wheelbase, there is no Beemer nor ZX10 that can run with the 14R without a bunch of weight on the 1000's!!

Try to go 9.0's with stock pipes, stock wheelbase and pump gas..........................................Aint gonna happen, no matter who rides at what weight!!

What about from a 3rd gear roll RG?...

well, i know first hand how that 3rd gear roll on with a bmw and the new 14 works..

i95 south in daytona me and ricky gadson rolled on last week. i have a short wheelbase bmw so 3rd was the only way i could go with my wheelie pig. rickey was on his bike he just went 8.50@160 on and i was on my stock wheelbase bmw with a brock pipe. we rolled on fairly low in the rpm range for my bmw in 3rd. the bmw pulled out a hair and stayed there until the middle part of 5th the the 14 inched back. i give the 14 props as its fast and kawasaki stepped up. if both bikes had a arm the bmw would pull it hands down until the aero and tq took over on the 14. he also ran a gen 2 busa that made 190hp at the brute hp shootout. both bikes were setting around 64" and they rolled from 2nd. they were stuck together like glue when they rolled. maybe this will clear up the confusion...

for all the bmw haters out there that think only brocks bike's run those numbers im here to tell you mine is completely stock and makes 200hp on mr 12. for a stock 1000cc bike nothing will run with it in its class. its funny everyone compares bikes with 400+ more cc's with it. i tell it like it is as i have no reason to lie...

I for one don't hate the BMW , it's a rocket .. One think i know for sure is the zx14r can toss a lot of the weight it has from the factory .. What would that same roll on look like if Rickys bike was 450 LB and not 530 LB ? Well we all know what the answer would be .. Either way it doesn't matter to me , both are too fast for most guys to use all the power these bike makes anyway .. I would not mind at all owning a new BMW but i rather like the ride of the zx14 Vs the BMW or any other liter bike for that matter .. For me the handling of the BMW doesn't come into play for me because the only turn i ever make is at the end of the 1/4 mile ..
I'm lighter than Ricky and if we had a safe place to test my bike Vs a BMW with a skilled rider i would love to give it a shot ..

FYI for roll on races the shorter the bike the better for you so the 14r had a disadvantage on that part .

i had a couple roll races and dig runs with a brock piped zx14r. i was on my old clapped out 2008 zx14 with a yosh pipe. needles to say i lost but i was not really impressed from a dig it was a riders race we were locked up till mid 5th when i decided it was to fast for a frontage road and shut down so check 1 for the 14r next we did a couple roll on runs 1st and 2nd gear runs, the bikes were within 1-3 bikes of each other on any given hit. pretty much who ever got the hit was gonna win the race

both bikes were slammed, my bike was geared -1+1 not sure about his. both of us weighed around 200 he claimed 200 and i was 197 so close enough

Wtf are you talking about the bmw having an advantage because it's shorter? It still wheelies in 3rd and the 14 never even thinks about it. The bmw was disadvantaged because it was out of it's pwr band rolling at 6000 rpm. The 14 was right where out needed to be, the 14/busa's torque is huge at this rpm compared to the bmw. I state the facts and people just don't get it. I give, the new zx14 is the fastest bike out there period... lol.. I understand what it takes and evidently most of you don't. The new 14 is fast and it should be, watch the louisville slugger project on brocks site. That bike has picked up close to 30hp with the mods so far with mr12. Do you think rg's bike is stock? I don't think so... it has the same mods brock has done. all I'm saying is there are stock bmw's out there that runs right with the new zx14. it appears there are plenty keyboard cowboys on this site that can't face reality.

Well I can tell u this much I know for a fact that on a roll if your at 9k on my bmw and I weigh 250 that damn thing is a pogo stick. So no I don't agree a shorter wheelbase is always better. As for hating on the bmw I don't hate on any bike but I know that even the mighty s1000rr is not quicker on a roll. I've tried so many times I should be jail.

Wow, I expected the new 14 to crush the old pretty bad. I guess being 170lbs with my brocked out geared 07 I don't have to worry as much about the new 14 as I figured

i understand this completely... its all fun and meaningless but it stirred the pot up and gave all of the zed ex owners a reality check... the new 14's are fast but there are others equally as fast. it just takes $$$ to go faster and most people enjoy trying... modifying bikes are in our blood and extracting every ounce of hp is natural for me and alot of others on here.

Not surprised a few 14rs are putting up good numbers and a few seem to be not as quick. I still say my first 06 14 was a solid .10 quicker then the next two I've owned!
