Red loc-tite
I used red loc-tite when I mounted my rotors on my BST's.My son now has my 07 and there is no way he's getting the BST's,will a hair dryer be hot enough to soften the loc-tite,I don't want to use a torch.

Red is pretty strong, bit usually I am able to just take the bolts off without heat. Heat gun would probably work, not sure about a hair dryer... You have nothing to lose trying. Good Luck!

I would be VERY careful about any heat around those BST's.

Ive always used red and not had issues removing the bolts from my stock rims without heat. make sure you have a good Allen key. a small torch for soldering may heat the bolt without heating up the surrounding areas. something like this

I use Loc-tite blue...but the Honda medium is red. You can't just go by the color if you don't know the manufacturer.

I was going to suggest that or heat an allen wrench with a torch and place it in the hex for a minute....
only if you have to.
I'd avoid putting heat directly on carbon fiber at all costs. Hot air would be the last thing I would try.

yes you can loosen the lock tight with heat.i have to do it every so often on the universal joints on my axis bass drum pedals.i use a heat gun but i would use a pencil torch on the bolts only.it takes about 350 degrees to turn liquid but i would see if they will turn after 10 seconds or so.
