Kawitom Yes, I did have a code 27... Related to TC. (Even with TC OFF). This past week when it was on the Dyno we just ignored the codes... and kept running it. Once we shut it down, the codes disappeared. BOTH lights in the bottom right of the Tach come on, KTRC & Engine.

The Ecu is at Guhl now gonna see if Don can straighten it out than I am gonna have him do the ECU mods while he has it hopefully everything works out, I can't believe that something major is wrong, only time will tell, cause after mine gets figured Lee has to get his fixed.

Did Guhl have a resolution?

You only need two tools: WD-40 and Duct Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

Did Guhl have a resolution?

Toms ECU is on its way to me for testing .. Brock tested it and said it seems fine on the dyno and street .. I should have it before weds night test and tune , so i should have some info soon ..

So what changes for tuning and such if any have you done to the ecu? Stuff like timing fly opening. Can it be tuned for fuel?

Scott Horner found bad voltage readings out of my 07. Seems a voltage regulator on the ECU board is the prob. What the 14 does is hesitate around 5k rpms then kicks in like a mule, in all gears.

Let me give you guys an update on my problem ... I tested Kawitoms flashed ECU with and without the TRE and the bike is smooth as glass , no popping , jurking or surging at 2500 to 3500 ...It felt like a brand new bike again .. So i put my ECU back in the bike today and sent back Kawitoms ECU to him ..I removed the TRE and took my bike for a ride and it runs smooth as glass also , all the popping,surging and missing at 2500 to 3500 gone .. I have no clue what caused the problem or what fixed the problem , all i know is the problem is gone .. Lifes little mysteries i guess ..

Lee, did kawitom have his secondary butterflies removed? or just had the ECU opened them up faster @ around 3500rpm???

MAYBE YOU HAD SOME BAD GAS IN YOUR BIKE .. get brock's fuel cleaner ..LOL

Sounds like the ECU uses the bikes Battery to provide power to store any Codes, so when Unpluged, for a lenght of time, voltage is discharged, it loses all Memory of codes, no backup battery like PC. Codes Cleared ? Runs like new ?
To clear Codes, some car ECU's have to have Voltage drained ,( capaciters store some Voltage) disconnecting battery and turning on all lights , 5 minutes, to Wipe all codes from Memory, my 2 cents

I think Toms ECU had the flies opening faster .. I don't have my flies in place so i would have never felt it ..

Only bad gas i had was when you were at my shop and farted ....
