I've got abs on my beemer, it eats shit. Don't ever go off road & think you can stop in a hurry, it won't happen. Don't ever ride over bad pavement & think you can stop in a hurry, it won't happen. Don't ever ride over railroad tracks & think you can stop in a hurry, it won't happen. The shit doesn't work well enough to justify having it on a bike & I don't like it any fucking better on a car. Unless it's perfect condition on the road surface it just simply is a liability to control of the vehicle. If you simply slam on your brakes for any event you need abs otherwise no way. Oh yeah it's disabled on the beemer now.

shawnski, i know what you're saying and all, but your rationale is completely broken. I think there are much stronger arguments "against" abs than that.
