Get a set of our 47mm throttle bodies. You will pick up about 8 hp with them. high 190's is the hp our Supersport heads make on pump fuel with the 47mm throttle bodies.
If you run MR-12 fuel you can get 210 or very close to it.

As for head porting... I dont recommend it for stock pistons and or cams. The problem is that the piston to valve clearance is too tight with stock pistons to run the cams that you need to take advantage of our cnc porting. This is why we developed the SS head for Rickeys SS bike back in 08.

Any other questions just give us a call.

You say pump gas. I assume 91 or better? What fuel do you recommend when using nitrous with the SS head?

with nos i think pump gas works with more of it , if not like 100 octane area should work fine.

Jim do you know if anyone is considering putting 47mm TB's on the New Zx 14R..............i'm dying to know what type of gains that would yield............do you think its possible that a piped and tuned ZX 14R with 47mm TB's could put out 220 RWHP?

Our Super Sport head is 13.2 to 1 with stock pistons. You should always run the highest octane pump fuel available and keep the a/f ratio around 12.8

There are lots of guys running nitrous on pump fuel. But its safer to run Q16 with nitrous. A higher octane rated fuel will allow more room for error if something goes wrong with your nitrous setup or tune. Pump fuel and nitrous is very easy to toast the pistons and valves if anything goes out of wack.

Nice, 8.60's is moving!! Whats your mph?

Our super sport head is a little different, it has a special valve job profile that opens up the valve choke 2% and re-contours the seat profile to promote better fuel homogenization. Its worth as much in hp as the milling for added compression give you.

Im guessing that our SS head and 47mm throttle bodies with mr12 fuel on a gen 2 zx14 would make about 224 hp.
I haven't seen a set of gen 2 throttle bodiesyet so im assuming they are the same and can be bored to 47mm.

Jims TB's are the ticket! A good hp gain & nothing to wear out.

My dyno operator tweaked my map a tad after installation of the 47's but it may have been due to the seasonal change.

They drivability & idle are just like stockers...........great mod!

Just get a hold of Jim at Competition CNC. That's him in the post above yours (Y2KZX12R)

MPH was 153 with a 8.63 pass. best I've ran so far was 159 the first weekend on the fresh ported head with stock TB's
