Loud and brutal...perfect...
Seno:
Getting mine in the spring so it will be interesting to see how these...beasts respond when tuned for whatever aftermarket pipe installed. Based on your feedback sounds like a little suspension setup will be in order as well. But I expect it will rock once you have it setup for your preferences there. Great pics and...NOTHING like the sound of a 14 with a good pipe. I'm a Leo Vince man, but Brock's is great stuff as you well know.
Lastly, I hear you on the cold bro. Why I fled the northeast for Florida a long while back.
Enjoy...when you don't freeze...

G'day Brock, don't spose you are planning on developing maps for your CT single before the rest of your range? Ive seen on fb that you are trying to find a donor bike to be ure test mule. Wish you all the best! This thing is going to be a weapon!!

Thank you Brock. I really like the pipe, attention to detail as well as fit and finish was amazing. You make a very high quality and beautiful exhaust system. I was considering getting the noise reduction plug but don’t want to lose too much HP. Have you tried a plug on the 14R to see the power difference? Throwing bike on dyno mid week, if I can get one before then I will post a graph with & without plug. I will call later today when he rest of the world is awake to order one.

I found it, did a search. That is an expensive pipe, can anyone tell me what the performance gain of the CT when compared to the SMEG or the AH2, mounted on a Gen 1 zx14 or Gen 2 busa?

You can’t appreciate the quality and fit & finish from a magazine or website. Personally I have had 20+ sport bikes all with pipes and used to be a fan of many different manufacturers. After getting this pipe and scrutinizing it, I have never seen a better quality pipe with such incredible attention to detail. It sounds cliché, but in some cases you actually do get what you pay for... In the case of this pipe its 100%. Unfortunately since this pipe was installed I only had an hour of seat time and currently traveling on business. Looking forward to getting in some seat time this week, hopefully the weather will hold out. This week Tuesday or Wednesday I will post some Dyno sheets with Brock's CT as well as with & without the noise reducing plug.

Seno,
Thanks, yeah I am standing by. I am ready to make my purchase, but don't want to spend uless dollars and the result is the same. Orignally I thought you already had this exhaust and swapped it from a previous bike.

If you go to product information on brocks site, he has dyno graphs comparing his systems and some others. I personally love the full length sysyems. Not a huge gain vs alien head, but the quality and styling is what im after. Again, it comes down to personal taste.

I have a CT Meg on my 08, and I know that the noise reduction plug isn't suppose to kill a lot of power, but I could tell a big difference in mine. I bought it just in case noise was a problem because I was stationed in California at the time, mine is just collecting dust somewhere in the the garage.

There is no magic number for how much the noise reduction plug affects power-- the truth is that the more exhaust gasses the bike moves, the more power it hurts. We have seen as little as 3 hp (early GSX-R1000) and as bad as 10HP (BMW). On my personal ZX-14 from the Diaries, it was 6 hp on my CT Duals... but that's duals. Not sure on a single and feel like real dumb ass for not trying when Shane was here. Oops.
Got a feeling it may not be pretty on the 14R... but it takes literally 2 minutes to take it in and out: one nut/bolt and a spring. It's great for long trips. Will you REALLY miss 10 HP out of 210 on you next cross country venture?

ps. We have our Quiet Kore mufflers for the serious noise concious... haven't checked those yet. Much quieter and usually less than 1-2%% loss across the board. Will try them soon also too.
