RickeyG, Brock, Roaring Toys Having read Rickey's post in the other thread, I'd just like to say thankyou for all your efforts and ask that you ignore the dummy spitting that sometimes goes on on here. As an enthusiast your input is invaluable and I hope you realise that it's appreciated 100%.
I'm pretty sure the crux of the dummy spitting was simply that headline numbers came out at the weekend and everyone assumed it was the stock bike which obviously put everyone on a high. Expectations were dashed when those great numbers turned out to be from a modded bike which caused the less than ideal comments. It was just people getting wires crossed and sadly internet forums don't lend themselves well to good manners.
So please don't take any negativity personally as your efforts are appreciated and invaluable to us average Joes. As I keep telling my kids, "it's the internet, people aren't really like that!"

Rickey don't take to much notice off those busa guys & some of the members on this board, it amazes me that the so called experts on this site can not see that this new 14R will be much faster than a Gen 2 Fucking shit Busa, you simply did some passes on a custom bike as Brock says that was very fast with the heavy front wheel ect. I know you personaly and believe you when you say this bike is the real deal, we are following your reports on this bike here from Souh Africa and please dont stop giving test results on the new 14R.

SEE WHAT YOU SUCKERS DID.. you ran Rickey off...LOL Serious tho... Rickey we appreciate your efforts and if you can look pass some of the built up frustration because we are passionate about our 2's (I bet some of these guys wear motorcycle boats to chruch...now that's love) we would like to see the progression of this Flagship machine. I will admit that I stop watching TV cause this drama has been so funny lol... and with all these views somebody's getting paid ( I'm surprised it stayed on the subject). For the guys that put down thier money on a bike that HASN'T HIT THE STREETS YET because you "Gotta have the 1st"... you should be thanking Rickey, Brock and RT because their testing and posting the results should have COMFIRMED to you to GET your $$$ back and wait or NOT....The complaining and attacking someone's integrity is serious and now we might have to wait even longer for testing result from the best.. especially when they owe us NOTHING...I'm glad they gave us Kaw fans something to talk about...Hell, Basket Ball season looks like a wash, so keeping up with some real world results over the winter would be nice, so when we hit the streets and tracks next summer we can have that smeark on our faces because we know we can talk shit cause that ZX14R will be delivering (or not)!!! I would like to thank KAW as well even tho alot of people in here think they advertised the bike bad. Kawasaki Heavy Industies is so huge that they don't need a motorcycle devision!!! They only started making motorcycles to get Brand recongition which they have done WELL! There is most likey a Kawasaki product in every household just to give you the scope of the size of this company! SO Rickey and Brock we hope you Guys reconsidered and post your results.. Then sit back and enjoy the show as we go into a freezy taking in that info and watch the views go through the roof (Hint..Hint make an advertisment deal...son)!! Brock....I agree with you whole heartedly! I cannot believe that all my efforts in reporting early testing of the new 14R has been met with so much criticism........ON A ZX14 FORUM! I do this and report my findings as nothing more than a courtesy! I have ABSOLUTELY nothi1ng to gain from giving what I thought were loyal 14 owners, an insight on the progression of a new model, I can see if I posted the 14's progress on a Busa forum and got all this skepticism, and downright negativity, but since I AM THE SAME PERSON WHO'S BEEN THE FACE OF THE 14 SINCE 2006, and the 1st one to ever race ,and win on a 14 in a sea of Busa's I cant see why I continue to put myself out there for MY OWN 14 riders to discredit or outright accuse me of being untrustworthy......
You two bring alot to the table and your effort and time is commendable and appreciated!!!!
I have been wanting to say this for YEARS now. Ever since the 2000 ZX12R came out (I received the First one in Arizona), a "Busa Mentality" emerged. There was a threat to the "King". Came in a smaller package, was neutered and was just as fast (I won't even go into how the 12 destroys a Busa on a road course). A collective group of enthusiasts created the ZX12RZone. The menatality was intelligent and resourceful like Y2K, Entropy, Doug and many others!
The real world reality was the 12 was actually faster and the EyeAbusa boys did not like it.
Ever since the 14 came out and the ZX14 Forum was created on this site, that mentality came with it. We all know the long time memebers and what they have to offer. Since 06', a new crowd filtered in and some add alot to what the 14 can do and has become. However, the criticism, accusations and bashing that came with the Busa crowd is more like the "L.A. Busa" site and that is dissapointing.
Please allow yourself to shake it off guys and understand the source.

Thankfully, the posts preceding mine here rightfully, acknowledge, Ricky G, Brock and RT for their efforts with a "pre-production" 14R. As a Philly native (Happy Atco memories RG) and long-time Kawasaki and RG fan/owner/enthusiast, I could not be more happy with the early feedback on the 14R.
Kawasaki will get my hard earned $ for a 14R because I have total trust in the integrity of these men who put their collective reputations on the line to provide me/us feedback on what has to be an incredible bike. Sorry I go back to KZ Kawi's with Kerker pipes and have seen too many times what KHI can deliver when they decide to do a fast bike to bitch moan and complain....now about the 14R

I, can name off all of the guys that were being jerks on here from the day all of the information and post started being posted and discussed about the 2012 ZX-14R. You guys need to make a STAND and clean this up before we LOSE some very very reputable guys thats trying to stand up for a motorcycle and sport which we so dearlly LOVE. If we didn't have RG,BROCK,Roaring Toyz, we would be left in the dark. These guys are making it possible to get valuable information out to us so that when we do get the new bike then we can just start plucking away at it !!!!! Kawasaki makes the damn motorcycle and if it wasn't for Kawasaki letting Rickey do testing on it, then we would not have nada. Stop BITCHING at Kawasaki or anyone for that matter. These are PROFESSIONAL people we are dealing with so STOP the nonsense.

It's problem with all boards. Cannot win if you censor/ban folks and the other hand can run some off to post on Facebook...
But like a broken record the naysayrs come around and will be worshipping or sticking up for the 14R when it gets out there and does the number or another mfg answers...than repeats.

Professionals? Quoted from another board. Rickey and his cousin tried to switch bikes during elimations in which he got busted. Plus there was no name on the tech card for the ZX14 that he was riding. Rickey went to the tower for a 5 min or so discussion and I heard with my own ears saying he was DQ'd. this has nothing to do with:
rickey g. : great respect for his work
brocks: great products ( have bought many of them on my previous bikes and current bike)
RT: bought some of the products on my 08 busa.
as i said before a brand new bike comes out and kawasaki claims it is bad ass in all aspects.. so far all we see is bunch different qtr miles numbers and dyno hp.. well that is good and i am pretty sure zx14 bike has more power than old zx14 and better qtr miles than the 1st gen, but that is not all some of us expect from a 15k bike.
i want to know the handling of the bike on twistie roads... i want to know the braking.. i want to know about the nasty engine and exhaust heat on your legs like on 1st gen zx14 and many more
like rollon results vs. 1st gen.
does everyone remember 5 years ago the 20+ page over the 1st gen. about the flat power up to 6k rpm
all the discussion about how to fix that with pulling the secondary flies out. well... is that resolved?
i jumped from 05 zxx12r to 06 zx14 and wishing that the engine heat will be resolved.. well guess what.. it was worse.
everyone's opinion here is magazine test are not good and we should not depend on it.. well.. i know the dealerships won't let you test ride the bike which quite make sense because of liability and bunch of dumb asses can kill themselves!!
so what option we have left?
i am pretty sure when you buy a new car you take it for drive or extended drive before you spend thousands of dollars .
i can buy it and figure it for myself but then again i have very nice bike currently and if i don't see a significant improvement on all aspects i would hesitant to buy one.
i hope you see where the frustration comes from.
could kawasaki which wants to blow sales on new bike have done a better job on marketing the bike? i would say yes.. but then i am just a average rider and what do i know.. but i do have the right to speak up.

Kawasaki usually has a pretty big setup and lets people ride all their stuff. "Test" rode the '07 version of the 14 there before I bought. Not the end all solution but valuable personal "seat time" I'd never get from a dealer. I have to imagine that Kawasaki will have a large setup in the spring given all the revisions to the 14R and huge interest it has/will draw.

I have never said anything negative about the new 14. I saw how Ricky was fighting it. It has power for sure!
What most of the negative comments was about wasn't Brock or roaring toyz, but Ricky getting DQ'd. It was wrong, theres no way to try and sxplain that. I don't have anything against Ricky personally, has he blown me off when I had a few questions? Yes. Is that how he makes a living by teaching this at his school? Yes.

I do agree with you to a certain extent. Ricky does get paid by Kawasaki. Yes, Brock is advertising, but at the same time good numbers is what makes people buy his products.
Also, Brock spent HOURS with me Friday during testing instead of setting up his tents, displays, etc on manufacture midway. He didint have to do a single thing to help me try and make the mr12 work, because it didn't have anything to do with any of his products. Point is he did spent a lot of his time helping me.

Your absolutely correct wee, I am nobody. Just another guy that has purchased one of his products.
Doing stuff like that is guaranteeing that I will pay a little more for his exhaust over muzzy, yosh, etc.
Was Ron muzzy there to help promote his product? No. Yosh? No. Tsukigi? The list goes on and on. Not many exhaust manufactures care if we have a place to race. Without races, they won't sell as many exhaust systems.
