Here is his explanation. short of the story is that I had been given permission to make some exhibition passes on Sunday for Discovery channel which was there to shadow me all day Sunday for Mondays filming of Cafe Racer.
We were suppose to let Jeremy teasley make a pass to show what the 2012 Zx14 would do with a light rider. After waiting in the lane for hrs with Jeremy, Jay Reagan changed his mind and told me (as the sun was going down) that they were not going to let us do it, even though the cameras had been waiting all day for the footage. They said they dont care, they have 600 racers to get down the track, and that the cameras would just have to wait!
Since I was in street ET with the bike and was still in 4 rounds later, I elected to take the chance and get the footage for "The Discovery Channel" who informed me they were going to have to leave.
Jeremy rode,he won,and the following round while they were pairing me up they said that Richard was teched in on my bike and they dont have a tech card for me. I had to go to the tower and go thru all tech cards to prove Richard was riding a 2011 ZX10 with his number 62x, and I was riding the 2012 ZX14R under 62.
They then said to me that I WASNT RIDING THE BIKE THE LAST ROUND and that I would be DQ'd for letting Jeremy make a pass for the cameras, even though he won. I said to them the guy Jeremy beat should be reinstated and they said they didnt have time for that.
So did I switch leathers................................NO
Did I put Richard on my bike after losing............NO
Did I lose in the early rounds............NO
People may have heard me complaining in the lanes, that they were only interested in making money and not for the good of the sport. "The Discovery Channel" was there at the cup race and they could've cared less!
Was I wrong for taking the chance of getting MYSELF DQ'd for getting the shot we needed, then I guess I was wrong, but it only affected me!

I agree with the guy on there about the people that drove 1,000 miles and to only get eliminated by someone/ a bike that wasn't suppose to be there.

Really it only affected you! How about the guy teasly beat. No respect for Him as a racer anymore. That could have been anyone of us that drove a long ways to be put out by someone that hadn't been riding the bike all day. TV show or not that's Bullshit.

And Ricky, I'm not adding to the story, making up my own version, thats just taking what you said you done and looking at it from OUR side.

+1, I want to drive the 1123 miles next year to race and if that happend to me and I wasn't reinstated I would be one pissed off dude.

I for one love "The Discovery Channel" and all the motorcycle series they are producing from "Twist the Throttle" "American Chopper" and "Cafe racer" and Hopefully soon they will do a series about the drag tracks where there is unstaged drama and excitement. I'm a little selfish So if "The Discovery Channel" got the footage they need then great I'll be looking forward to that episode of cafe Racer. So this is how I see it......if its true that RG did NOT lose a race up until that point, then him sneaking back in from a lost is a Lie (I'm sure somebody can verify that)...Next if the guy that Jeremy Teasley beat didn't have a LEGIT chance to beat RG that round then why would RG give up his bike for someone else to race a lesser competior (I'm sure someone can get the guy time sheet to verify) when he could have done the job himself..that would put him in a position of nothing to gain and a lot to lose. Since RG is a high profile guy on the lastest machine (which we all know is a step up from the Gen1) everybody is watching him and that lil situation looked shady. RG got DQ'ed the guy that lost went to the next round and got some TV footage....I'll say that if what's stated above is true then I'll say I believe RG but if its not then RG will be a while building his integrity back up. I don't know RG I've only shook his hand at Mrytle Beach but he seem like a cool guy (Just one of the boys). I believe he used tricks in the pass but what competetor don't...Guys will tell you in a min.. "it's stock..I don't have nothing done" and come to find out they big kits, hidden NOS bottles and all sort of crap...So I believe everybody bends the rules at some point in fact a lot of drag racerscheat that's why they are always auguring and fighting (That's they need to make a series about drag racing). It just looks likes the crabs in the bucket syndrome and guys are pissed because they are jelious of this man's success and would like you see him fall. Now keep in mind this is just the way I see it and I'm pointing fingers at no one I'm just talking telling in general of what I've seen and experienced at the track and in life when someone want your spot!....The last question I have is why is the HELL was the guy that broke this story dressed like a woman..What's the motive behind that...I doubt if it was to catch racers sneaking back in. it looks to me like he was spying on ole boy and just happen to catch something that looked shady...Its just my thoughts!

Bunch of damn cry babies!!!!!! This is one of the worst threads I think I've ever read!!!! If Roaring Toyz put a 40 shot and a 6 over swingarm on the bike I would still want to see it run. Who are you guys (or me) to dictate what Rickey or anyone rides down the track? "im pissed Rickey didn't make any stock passes on it" LMFAO!!!! For real???? Any way you slice it this bike will be fast and probably much faster than our current model 14's. Seriously though what a shit thread!!!!!! And once again thanks for messing up a once good ZX14 site.

Some people just have a hard time reading. it was street et were anyone has a chance to win and the guy that lost because of this was not reinstated. My new grudge bike is going be called hooked on phonics. between rounds I can offer internet reading lessons to help pay for my racing.
