these arguments over price are pretty stupid. you are buying a new bike. it will cost more because it is a new bike. it isn't an old bike. it hasn't been used, and it will have better resale than an old bike. this is consumerism 101... no, make that Grade 1.
As to the bellyaching on price... it is a $1100 increase over last year. Partially because you are getting more, but I would suggest mostly due to economy. Seriously, did you think this was going to be cheaper than last years' bike? Or even the same? Have you seen the US $ recently?

I would have rather waited and had the testing done on a production bike .. Even if the production bike was slower at least we would know what we are getting .. I also wanted the bike tested on pump gas before the MR12 ..Most of use don't want and will never run that pricey fuel .. What i was asking for was what Brock did back in 06 with the first zx14 .. Ricky said that was what he was going to do .. I get it , Ricky nor Brock could get a production bike ..I feel they should have waited untill they could get one to test .. I wanted to see what this bike could do with stock exhaust with a strap and lowered at sea level and not 2100 feet like Vegas .. Then add all the mods you want and post the numbers ..

+1 on mr12 to rich for my blood when I make 25 passes on a friday night 3 times a month, but I was told i wasn't serious if I'm not running that fuel. No I'm more serious about my racing then probably anyone on here and just want to go as fast as I can on pump gas.

For under 15k here is what i'm getting ..
1441 cc , better head , bigger cams , stronger frame , revalved shocks ,better aerodynamics , two fans , More wheel base , Heat off my legs , nicer looks and a hole lot of things i'll never use .. You never know , i might use them ..
The things i hope i get are the most powerfull and fastest production bike ever .. 9.31 @ 149 at 2100 feet tells me i might just get that ..

You only need two tools: WD-40 and Duct Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

Screw it i'm getting a 08 busa .. I just heard about a guy that runs 8.85 @ 157 stock wheel base with nothing but a slip on muffler ... I can buy one for 6500 bucks and just toss a cheap ass slip on and go faster than the new ZX14R .. ____________

apples to apples that day Rickey zx14r 8.99 156mph .. Brandon 08 busa 8.85@157mph ..that why I'm not impressed wit the zx14r .. oh and don't forget Leonidas stock motor gen 1 zx14 160mph .. ninjaboys zx14 ran what 150+mph with a 200lb rider.. the zx14r should be running 165mph like roys bike ..
i've race that kid alot and i know for a fact he cuts better than 1.50 60ft's on that stock wheel base bike .. and he's what about 40lbs lighter

Those look just like my buddy's time tickets on his stock motor 08 busa which is 64 inches and vance and hines side winder and light wheels and light battery and he is 160 unsuited. on pump gas. a new 14r set up the same way will kill that.

I will go on record and say it very well could be easier to go faster on a gen 2 busa or a gen 1 14 at swb for the average rider, a 1441 bike at swb is going to be hard to 330 for most guys. very few will get the job done well
