Lee, the busa guy that I talked to said that they replace the bearings at about ever 40 runs.but that was a fast one, my street, bike that `you see on the left it's not slow 3.45 @ the 330 111mph @ the 330 @ 720 pounds with Rider. I've been testing a new clutch. Last week, I put 17 runs on it, and this week I put 18 runs on it, that's just in a two-week period, and we go pretty much ever weekend ,my bike has 15,000 miles on it, and 5,000 on this motor size with stock rods.so how is that for the 14 having a weak bottom end. I've been looking for a Street written Busa here in Texas for a race but I hadn't had any takers.

the clutch is a Hayes lockup style, the motor size, well when it comes to grudge racing first liar didn't have a chance. LOL it is a street motor and I do ride it on the street, as I've said this motor size has 5000 miles on it and I don't think all of them are at a eighth mile at a time. LOL.

I have no idea were Hamilton Texas is, but it sounds like a slip and slide track, maybe Kennedale or Crandall, or if we come to Houston in the future I'll call you.

Ken it was like the Busa guys Vs the zx14 guys.. The chevy guys hated the dodge boys .. The chevy guys were qiuck to point a finger at the dodge guys and calling them cheaters.. And then ..OPPS the oil tank in the chevy blows up leaving little bits of blue bottle all over the pits .. It kind of like the busa guy saying all zx14 blow up but a busa never blew a motor .. When a busa motor blows up you never hear about it or it didn't happen ..
I haven' t seen nearly as many kawasaki motors blow up, including the ZX12. I have seen busas blow up regularly on 50 hp dry shots- hell one popped when I was riding it and I did nothing wrong.I know of a 1441 busa that recently cracked the entire block on the dyno- a huge mess to clean at that.

Just read about the last 5 pages, thought I'd chyme in on the Rickey thing...
Having been an ET racer for 10 years+, I've seen these types of things happen before. Its usually no big deal.........until you lose.
My opinion on what RG should have done....
Approach Ricky Kay, the opposing racer, and be straight with him. Explain that they really need to get a good video shoot for Discovery, explain that someone else will be riding the bike, and tell Ricky Kay to make sure that he DOES NOT red light, and to be safe, don't break out, because JT WILL RED LIGHT, and JT will break out!! Then, if Ricky Kay says no, the tech'd rider needs to be on the bike, then the tech'd rider should have gotten on the bike.
Now, as far as the opposing racer, Ricky Kay (or any other racer for that matter), they should be paying attention as to who they should be racing. In this case, from what I've read, it seemed obvious that JT was on the bike and RG was standing next to it at the starting line. I can see how it can go unnoticed if the average joe blow would pull something like this, and you didn't know who was supposed to be on the bike. Not going to fault Ricky Kay at all though, because this should have never occurred at all, especially during eliminations of any class.
Do I call RG a cheat....no. Its not like he put JT on the bike to win because he thought he couldn't. Did RG break the rules....YES of course he did, and got DQ'd for it.
Sucks that the sportsman got the raw end of it all....but thats usually who always gets the shaft at events like this.

I know where this is going, and we've already had this conversation, my son rides the bike and he's 190 suited , that's not a featherweight. but if you are looking for a race with me personally. Which I know you are because you would stand no chance run against Matthew. That's probably not going to happen. Matt rides the bike. if you want a race just come over the next time were in a race .I have a street bike if you want to do a Roll on with me I might be able to arrange that.
