Horsepower rating
The "Certificate of Origin" is a 1 page document that comes from the factory to the dealer on every new bike. This document, among other things, lists crankshaft horsepower and weight. You can ask your dealer for a copy when purchasing your bike.
Gen One ZX14 (2006-2007): 190 HP
Gen Two Zx14 (2008-2011): 193 HP
If the Gen Three ZX14R is producing 210HP, we have the 2nd largest HP increase in Kawasaki History. Recent History of Kawasaki's claimed crankshaft HP (without Ram Air effect). I've owned each of these bikes (except 12 Zx14), and have the Certificate of origin for each.
84 Ninja 900: 113 HP
86 Ninja 1000: 125HP
88 Ninja ZX10: 137 HP
90 Ninja Zx11: 147 HP
00 Ninja Zx12R: 165 HP
06 ZX14: 190 HP
08 ZX14 193HP

Its only 7HP from gen2 ZX14.
2006-2007 Gen1 190HP 200HP with Ram air

Sorry 7 hp is all wrong ... No way a 4 mill stroke with a new head and hand ported , bigger cams , larger exhaust only makes 7 hp gain.. Look for numbers to be around 20 HP gain .. The 4 mill stroke would make over 7 hp with nothing else touched ..

its all wrong, 06-11 were 187 crank no ram air, 08- up had tuning for more bottom end only.

They did claim a small horsepower increase in 08. Due to revised ecu and injectors. Was there really any noticeable difference, no, but it is what they claimed.

Well I guess a few horses would only be noticable if both bikes were run in ideal conditions. Like this past saturday I ran mr12 and tuned both ways for it at the track- I ran a 5.68@124.5 compared to a week ago when I ran 5.71@126 in cooler drier air on pump gas.

Sorry guys, im from Norway and her we use PS. So her the Gen1 has 190PS 200PS with Ram etc etc.
Mixed it up.
But the kawasaki norway has allready put the numbers for it on theyr page.

That is what I was thinking.
I know the busa runs faster than 142 even stock.
I rode one at 3600ft and traped 137

We will see ... My fastest pass with a stock zx14 was 9.62 ( strapped with stock exhaust ) This new one should run 9.40s or better set up the same way .. We will see ..

if it makes more hp and you cut the pork off it then who knows maybe brock will make it an 8.20 bike . since he has 8.40 bmw's LOL..

Who really puts a lot of thought into what the bike will do in stock form or how much it weighs bone stock. No one on this forumn has a completely unmolested stock bike. What remains to be seen is how much has yet to be unleashed. I'm sure this bike is going to be a monster at the strip. Let's all face it.....Ricky Gadson played a huge role as to what the bike was going to be transformed into. The bike has been redeisigned for him....a champion....to win more championships. We're in good hands here and this bike mod for mod is going to be the baddest production bike ever built! ZZR-Tom WTF is with your gay f-ING avatar.

you never now .. Brocked out setting at 64 inches it should run 8.40s or better .. Anything is possible , just look what you did with a turbo and 300 pounds .. ..

We all know that its pretty much the same bike, but a 100cc larger motor with a better head sould definately run a much better number. For sure if you watch the vid of that bike vs busa, you can see the front end being toted all the way thru 1st gear, so he is not WOT banging into 2nd. Thats hurting the 14R's ET.
Did yall not see the thread I posted up with pics from grudgefest? I put up a pic of my buddy running his swb 1441 busa, I promise you he never got a good ET-too much power-yeah, at least 25 hp more then the new 14, but his bike was slammed and strapped.

No he's not, but he has been building and riding big motor busas for a minute.. He just does'nt focus on Kaws(you met him)before you tuned my bike in- BTW, thanks-got me out of the 70's.

If you read any of my past posts you would know i tried a 30 shot and went 8.53 @ 163 on my 06 zx14 ... My fastest all motor pass on the 06 was 8.77@ 154 ... My 09 that never had the bottle on it went 8.76@155 ... Keep up sonny ...

A possible catch: with the new head being worked over and polished already and all the other engine improvements made... there may not be as much to be gained as from the ZX-14 engine. To some extent, this bike is already unleashed out the factory.
