Hummm lied ? That has yet to be proven .. Let's wait to see what the bike does at the track .. Ugly ? Well i think it's very sharp looking .. They did what i had hoped they would by making the body lines sharper..

yeh but look at it this way how much would it cost to make a reliable everyday zx14 street bike with a 1441cc motor ?trust me a lot and it aint reliable and u def cant go riding it across county,for the drag racers a stock 1441 will lend itself to even bigger oportunities with engine builds and hp.m2ct.

I think the looks are VERY improved!!! I love the more aerodynamic fairing up front.
Whats defines an "R" model anyway?
If you want the baddest bike to ever roll off the showroom floor then 15 grand isn't expensive.
there are bikes that are well into the +$20,000 range that wouldn't hold a candle to this thing.
If its handling you want, then buy a new zx10r. That will also smoke most +$20,000 bikes.

zx12mark....
In the head to head video he 14R seemed to pull away from the Busa as if it were a 600, all through the 1/4 mile. Big difference in thrust..
What is the formal hp of the current bike (excluding ram air)? 210 seems a substantial jump (unless that includes ram air).
Also, 9.78 @147 at altitude equates to roughly what at sea level tracks with less than 100 degree heat?

OPEN YOUR EYE`S...........the R stands for replica racer as in cafe racer.not a banana seat boat on 2 wheels.the zx12r was a R model.i have no doubt this new bike has the power but it`s fucking ugly.that dash looks like the toys we had in the 60`s.those grills would be better suited draining water in some sewer.this bike is reheated shit from 2006.in 6 years they can`t create something new for 15 thousand fucking dollars.if all your interested in is power then stick 15 grand into the bike you have now and run low 8 second 1/4 mile pass`s.WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO CUTTING EDGE.....

I can care less about the looks since what I want is performance!! If the bike is heavier is maybe because of the ABS model?

The more I look at the more i'm liking it now. The exhaust sucks but who keeps the stock exhaust anyway?
LSR will tell us how good that new bodywork is or isn't. I like the new bodywork over the old but was hoping for something different.
Wish they included a S1000r in the test but not narrow minded to think what an exhaust and a slight bump in the CR and a gearing change this is going to post some awesome numbers.

The R targets the kid crowd exactly like that crackerjack flame stickers.
R is when a bike is a race replica such as the zx6 and zx10, Kawi is bottom feeding.
OK call me teed off because all that hype and they excluded ABS for those of us who throw our 600/litre/and behemoth bikes around the mountains

I fail to see where you got '50lb heavier' from. I read 17.
I prefer the old mufflers. Otherwise I think they've done a pretty good job on the looks.
Would I rather have the new one than the one I've got? Well ... yeah, I guess. Not enough to trade it though.
