Should I add fuel?

We mapped the bike in late spring with af on the chart below at 13.0 avg. That was with the bmc air filter in the bike. The last few times at the strip the filter has been out. I pulled it becuase it has been so hot. I did pick up almost a 10 th and 1.5 mph. Did pulling the filter lean out the motor? Based on the dyno sheet below, run conditions and now the heat and less air filter would I benefit from using the power commander and adding 10%?

I'd say 10% would be too much.

With no air filter ( I too use a BMC ) and an oxygenated fuel like MR12 0r MRX01, 10% added fuel is the max I've had to add according to my logger.

I'm guessing 3 or 4% unless the ambient temp has really changed a bunch and yeah you're probably right, it did lean out the motor when you pulled the filter.
Just keep an eye out on your mph at the strip, it'll let you know.

Thanks man! I am on 87 pump fuel. The reason I ask the question is becuase I hear 12.8 is the target alot shoot for and ram air puts it leaner. Looking at my sheet you can tell I am around 13 and that was with the filter. I just figured by adding some fuel now I should pick up.

What pipe do you have and what map are you using?

I have a brocks pipe and map, and tuning the bike to a target a/f actually hurt the power. I put the bare map back in. Best bet is to make adjustments and see what the bike actually likes

M14 header, had a muzzy map(blue on the dyno sheet) we trashed it and built a map for 13.0 on pump gas. We were not trying to hit a dyno number to show max power per say as we didnt run the af to 13.5 like most people do. No names of course. I just figured a few guys here would know if my 13.0 changed to something leaner by pulling the filter.

Nick seems to think since I saw imediate gaines by pulling the filter in mph and et to stay with it until it cools down. We are making passes in 95+ degree weather at night. I thought it was lean based on my trap speed still only being 122 8th mile, until last week at KOTT seeing how everyone was affected by it. A couple of guys were telling me they go mid 120's normally and a little quicker too(gen 2 busa)with a fly weight.

I saw the orange/black bike pull 122 on my timeslip right lane. The bike is stock wheelbase going 5.90's so I am sure when it cools down, he should pick up another mph or two.
