I just can't believe it .....
I pulled the motor out last night and started tearing it down . After 2 years of experimenting with nitrous I was expecting to see some damage . I had run into some problems with the MSD box and at times ran way too much nitrous and had no timing pulled . I melted electrodes completely off the spark plugs. I had seen the compression getting lower and some oil in the airbox so I knew that the rings weren't working too good anymore. And with the 2 ring setup n the stroker , I thought maybe the ring lands had collapsed. The bike also seemed to be lower on power with mph getting lower , so I was expecting to see some bad stuff inside....

I may just get off easy ... maybe rings and bearings :-)

not saying bad .. but i see some cylinder scratching on #4 intake valve cup area far outside . in some my cases this was the 1st area where detonation started into the ring groove and eats it inside out .. i've had it start there 1st before it even show signs of sandblasting the pistons ... when you get the piston out look real hard in the area of that ring groove area.. it also looks like compression was blowing across cylinders.

I was considering o ringing the head last time, and probably will do it on the spare turbo motor.

yep , there is more leaking between 3&4.. less between 2&3 . cyl #1 looks like it sealed up good.
this head was on the bike when I had the bad meltdown ... cyl 3&4 were damaged. Seeing that the problems seem workse on that side , i think that the head has shifted a bit since I had it surfaced .
you can also see the chamber was deformed on cyl 4 by the carbon buildup .. I am hoping that surfacing the head one more time will fix the head gasket leaking . I am pretty happy that the head seems to be usable . But I will be working on another head to ty a different porting on it to see if I can get a little more out of that.

you gonna need to check the surface on the cases.. i know you know that .. i use a straight edge and a glass sanding pad to resurface mine at home ..
