Chinese farings came in, not to bad
The turbo Busa project is finished. The last thing I was waiting on was the farings. $480 to the house. They match my Ebay stock tank perfect and the paint quality is excellent. No runs or flaws that I could find. They are made out of ABS plastic and are pretty thick. I am taking the bike to have it dyno tunned Friday. It is pig rich on the bottom end. So after it's tuned I will fit the farings and see how it does. I will have a full report on the build, faring fitment and horsepower after it's tuned.

Wow, those look great! I was thinking about a set for Racheal's Busa; everything but the tank needs replaced. Just wasn't sure of the match.

Chinese made/painted......lead paint.......you know, like the toy situation......nevermind.
But now that you mention it, I often wondered what chinese girls tasted like.

They look good. I hope they fit better then some of the kits for a ZX-14........nightmare making brackets as holes don't match up. Parts were 1/2 as thick as OEM Kaw parts.
1 year later paint had spider web cracks in some places. Maybe they have gotten better.
Let us know how th Busa project goes.

Mine are "ok" i guess. The right side battery cover panel will not stay popped in. The two ram air covers i did not use, they looked terrible. The head fairing is perfect except for the bottom sides. The tabs on the plastics WILL BREAK if you even slightly bend them. I plan on buying factory peices a few at a time. I do like the busa pieces pictured here, maybe you got those from a different manufacturer.

did they crack because they were hit with something, because you wrecked, or just because of stress? Just curious because I need some left side fenders for my bike and am thinking about ordering them.

I looked up that sellers name but came up with nothing. Are you sure that is the correct name?

I wouldnt buy them again for the 14, just trying to make them fit knocks paint off the edges, and if that plastic is truely ABS, then I am a damn monkey.
I sware to god, if we went to war with the chinese, it would be no time at all before they throw the white flag, all their shit would be falling out of the sky and sinking in the sea.

Mine are soft just like OEM. mabe a tad softer. Here is my Item number they have a bunch of stuff. 130400049368 check it in Ebay also here is http://myworld.ebay.com/ebaymotors/fairing954/?_trksid=p4340.l2559
I bought some for my 07 ZX14. fit good and looked good. I did use my stock inner plastic. I also used the stock red grills, but only because I liked them better than the black ones here is a pic with the chinese farings on the 14

I would have no problem buying again. After I get back from the dyno Friday. I will start the install and see how much trouble they are to fit.

They do not come with heat shields. Do not mount them without it either. You can purchase stock ones or go to Home Depot and buy some foam insulation and cut it to fit. use 3m spray on contact cement and it's there for life. And it's cheap to do.

I really think there are a few different sources who make those. I guess I was unlucky.

Yea, my buddy got his from Ebay and they were hard. They were the Suzuki Corona colored plastic and they did not fit at all. every hole had to be slotted. I always look at the feedback.
