Need complete 09 Monster Energy Fairing kit
Well, I would like to say something cool happened like I layed it down at the drag strip doing 160. But indeed nothing that exciting. But I do need a complete fairing kit for an 09 Monster Energy ZX14. Anyone have any leads? Everything else on the bike is fine and dandy strictly cosmetic. (well except the radiator I do need a new radiator) I am not that good at digging through microfiche online and my eyes hurt so I was hoping someone knew an easy way to get a set or had a set for sell.
As for what happened sitting on the side of the road at dusk with some buddies smoking and shooting the shit and along comes an eighteen wheeler heading off the road right at our bikes he swirves at the last second and the rear bumper of his trailer hit my bike and slung it for 25 yards. Luckily it was on mud most of the time so it didnt bend the forks or the wheels or the exhaust or anything but it did literally put acrack in every fairing and almost completly destroyed the upper cowling and right side headlight. It is actually kinda wierd it looks like someone performed surgery on the upper and very neatly cut out a section that almost perfectly fits the bumper of the trailer. ANd of course the guy didnt stop. (I honestly dont think he knew he hit my bike) This was on a decently busy highway and by the time we stopped freaking out and got my bike stood up when my buddies got on their bikes to chase him down there was no way we could be sure which truck it was.

Well glad nobody got hurt but I would be chasing that Truck down because his insurance company would be covering all the new items you just listed you needed. At least I would have got a license plate or DOT number or company name off the side off the truck if he was hell bent on not stopping and then call the PO-PO to figure it out. Either way I would have reported it at the time of the incident.

Oh it got reported for sure. It was just dark enough that we couldnt make out really make out much about the truck and it was just a white trailer. We went to the truck stop 15 miles away and there were a ton of trucks there it oculd have been. We didnt see any damage to any of the bumpers.

sorry to hear this, but the bike can always be fixed just lucky the bumber did hit one of you guys standing there, could have been really bad.

Glad no one got hurt. I know they sell fairing kits on ebay, other than that I would go to bikebandit.com. They have good prices! I hope Wee doesn't look at this thread,he may be hurt just as much as you are right now.

Try giving Cory a call a few months back he was selling the whole set of fairings for your bike ... for $1500 plus shipping including the tank and $1250 without the tank.

I purchased a complete ZX-14 fairing and many other parts from Cory......... all went Great. I asked for a Diablo
Metallic Black 2007. It took him a few weeks but found me one. Cory buys rolling ZX-14s new but minus the engine,ecu and speedo cluster. Some co. in Canada buys new ZX-14 for those parts for those little race cars. Tell him Louis said Hi.
