new guy here
Hey guys I just got my ZX14 on tuesday. I traded my stretched and lowered hayabusa for it and as funny as it sounds I was thenhit on my KAW the same day that I got it and the guy took off. Well I am now stuck till monday with a dislocated shoulder and torn Rotator Cuff. Well I am 26 years old and in the Marine Corps and work as an Airframer on F-18's (work on all the flight controls hydraulics and structure of the aircraft) I have a wonderful wife and three awesome children. Hopefully I can in someway contribute to the forum and gain some knowledge on my new bike. If anyone has left side plastic for an ok deal let me know because I nee it all.
pics of the new bike:

the damage:

the bike I traded it for: before you ask why. It was because I just wanted something different I guess.

Welcome!
Nice looking bike(s), even with the scrapes.
Sorry about that accident, I hope you heal up completely.
Finally, and most importantly, thank you for your service; I'm ex-AF, but that was many moons ago.....

Sorry to see that.I scraped my plastic up but I did it not some other bastard.I found both side panels and my tail on E-Bay.It took alot of time and effort but it can be done.Another good place to look is ronayers.com.They seem to have decent prices.I found both side lowers made of carbon fiber at 55cycleparts.com for $189.00.Mine are scraped up and thats where I'm buying mine.Good luck and sorry what happened.

Hey thanks alot guys for all of your appreciation. Yeh it sucks that this all had happened but het what can I say- crap happens. I'm sure it wont be the last time something stupid like this happens. Do you guys know by chancehow the ebay plastic fits? I have seen on there that they make all of the plastic even some with custom paint for around 700. Seems a little sketchy to me.

I have heard the eBay fairings are a bit on the sketchy side but i saw a zx14 parked on the paddock at round one WSBK phillip island with the eBay fairings. They where black with a red flame job, after a close inspection (with the owners permission) they didn't look that bad.
There are actually a few guys doing after market fairing for the zx14 and prices can vary quite a bit whilst all claiming to be the best on the market all for the same reasons.
Keep smashing google with searches and you will find the them.
