local guy with a turbo 10 wasnt using his 2 step for most of a season, then decided to try it out. you could hear the turbo spool up a lot vs his regular launch... he did a monster wheelie.... turned it down and was ok

I tried iand did not like it for my streetbike. For me what worked best was to whip the throttle and get the turbo spining then take off. But you will have to adjust your riding style to what makes you comfortable. I guess I still have it in my head from the old days with the Mr Turbo kits with the old style drawthrough turbos. You really hand to whip them up on the line. I always thought that the 2 steps were hard on the turbo anyway, but I don't know this.

Anti-lag can be hard on your turbo, as it retards timing, and raises egt's significantly. I've heard the flame front actually passes through the turbine, causing the turbo to spool.
I don't believe a 2 step is hard on the turbo.
Here's anti-lag
Here's a 2 step
I believe a 2 step is just a way to create a load on the engine in neutral.
