arm length?

Whats up guys, Im about to order a new arm from mcintosh, and was wondering about what lenght I want to get...I plan on doing alot of racing this year...I have a Thompson Custom Cycle arm on there now, and Im pretty sure that one is 2 to 4 over...I was thinking about going 4 to 8 over on this one....Is that a good length? I want to ride it on the street alot too still, so dont want something super long... Any info will help, I have to call them back in the morning to give him my decision...

4-8 over is a good length. I'm at 8 over and I like it. I will eventually go longer, but my bike rarely sees the road.

66 to 70 under brace is what i got from Mac .. Seems to work good , 60 footers are as low as 1.32 .. I think i can get the 60 lower with a little lower gear ..

I rode my bike to work everyday, 22 miles one way, at 8 over and it is fine.

It's not good for the twisties, but as far as riding to and from work, or group rides it's fine.

Just make sure you don't go too short. You will kick yourself for doing that.

True. It's a lot easier to take links out than it is to add. That way you will only have one masterlink
