2009 zx14 leftover
i have a real nice monster edition zx14 at my local dealer (roanoke VA). He is asking 10k-11k.
what would be the reasonable price for this year. ?

I wouldnt go a penny over $9k OTD for it, you can buy a slightly used 09 with aftermarket goodies for $9k

the bike is 2 years old....
i paid 10k otd for my 08 model in april of 09.
plus you can pick up a used 14 cheap these days. a lot cheaper than 9,000 with all kinds of parts on it.

not where I live (Roanoke, VA), but i would have more time next month so i would look on craigslist and ebay.

I payed $10,200 for My 09 Monster in 2009.I wouldn't pay a dime over $9000.This enconomy sucks and l would think about The mans oe with the Broocks pipe before I let a stealer rip me off.

My thoughts are go for a good deal on a new one. Used is gererally I repeat generally abused. Break it in you self and know what you got. Yea save a thousand bucks but don't get anyone elses troubles. Jjust my opinion!

Wow! That's a pretty harsh assumption you make!
I suppose if I were selling a lowered, stretched, nitrous ready bike, that would be a fair guess.
I'm clearly selling a bike that has been set up for long distance comfort and although I'll admit to having opened her up a few times on long straights, it's never seen a drag strip or pushed hard.
Look at the stock front tire, lots of chicken strip left and no cupping! I know pics don't tell everything but they do tell some things!

This statement could not be further from the truth! LOL My last 14 I sold had 500 passes on it and 4500 miles and now the guy has 12000 miles on it and runs like a champ and will go just as long as a new one. there are more then enough nice clean used 14's out there that have never been rode hard for way less then the price of that left over. I passed up on a 2008 with 1600 miles on it bone stock and a 10 out of a 10 for 6400.00 the one I just bought I ended up with around 9300.00 in it for a 2010 and it was clean and has tons of parts on it including BST wheels.

There are definitely some good deals out there on slightly used ones with mods if you don't mind traveling. If I'm not mistaken I think that a 09 only books for like $8800 or somewhere close to that used so I would take that into consideration as well.
