R1/R6 Wheel mount pic
It's not bolt on. A machine shop will need to make some sleeves to press on the Yamaha axle so they will fit the Busa forks. I will have to cut down the Busa spacer on the left some. Here is a pic to see what the wheel looks like. I am only going to run one front rotor. These wheels are tighter than stock wheels. 03-06 R6 or 04-06 R1 wheels are the same. The rear is easy. Just use the R1/R6 complete brake, wheel, spacers and sprocket carrier.

Cool mod, how much lighter is it than the Busa wheel?

On the gen 1 busa both wheels save 6lbs. Don't know about the Gen2, plus they look good

Great looking wheel! Would be a good, cheap alternative to a BST front, and a pretty close match.

The rear wheel is a direct swap, using all R1 components?

Yes you will need the whole setup from the 04-06 R1. It uses the same size axle. rim, carrier and sprocket, spacers, brake hanger and caliper. bolt on. the front has to have a few parts machined to fit.
